quote:

When asked if he was still one of the league’s “greatest unknowns,” Newton started talking and the words just fell together in the following perhaps-unfortunate order.

“Absolutely not,” he said. “I say this with the most humility, but I don’t think nobody has ever been who I’m trying to be. Nobody has the size, nobody has the speed, nobody has the arm strength, nobody had the intangibles that I’ve had.

“I’m not saying I’m the one-on-one type of person that this league will never see again. No, I’m not saying that, hear me out. I’m just saying that so much of my talents have not been seen in one person.”

He is so bad at English that he actually said something very humble.

I think it kind of undermines the point of having intangibles once you start bragging about your intangibles

But it was nice of him to leave out the word "accuracy", he can't bring himself to claim that one

Well, the dude is incredibly gifted and does play for a franchise that doesn't really understand how to build an offense.

Who needs to build an offense when you apparently have the most talented passing/running/and uhh intangibled QB ever?

Dude should just be going full Bo Jackson Techmo Bowl/Mick Vick Madden 04 every play If that's the case

When did they change the definition of "intangibles" to "sailing passes 3ft. over a 6'6" reciever's head"?

Because he's really good at that.

Most every athlete thinks more of their abilities compared to how good they actually are, big deal.

I prefer the honesty, as opposed to all the other players who think the same as he does but give the boring, PC answers that they don't actually mean.

Eloquence is not one of his strengths. But, it is what he meant.
