who gives a shite about injury down 6 in superbowl!! John elway sure didnt at 37 yrs old diving head first into 3 defenders. Cam is a pussy

John Elway playing the last game of his career had nothing to lose. Cam Newton is 26 years old and just finished the first season of a $100 million contract. Cam has a future to uphold and there are a lot of hopes and dreams riding on him to carry the Panthers there.

Potentially ripping his knee to shreds in February probably wouldn't be an ideal situation for any of the parties involved.

There is a difference between hating to lose and acting like a bitch after a loss. Cam Newton acted like a bitch and also cost his team the game by not jumping on his own fumble.

LOL what? He gets called on it all the time. The problem is that he doesn't give a shite what you or anyone in the media thinks about it. That is why people hate him - they want him to conform

Yeah, he needs to act more like Russell Wilson and Peyton Manning. You know, like a robot. Damn Cam Newton and his blasted emotions!

He may as well have said:

Ricky Bobby has said more intelligent things than Cam.

Let's be honest here...a sore loser and a gracious loser are both losers.

Cam seems to be suggesting that the correct way to lose is to act the way he did...because it shows how MUCH you really wanted to win...and stuff.

As if a bad loser isn't a loser. At least he's creative in his methods of showing us what a dumbass he really is.

Idiotic...but then you likely know that already.

No one likes to lose...period. But accepting it with class and being a man about it is what separates whiny a-hole sore losers and guys who can accept defeat and move on.

This is too damn funny.

How many of you didn't realize that this exact quote came from Vince Lombardi?

Which was almost a month after Haloti Ngata ripped his leg off his body and caused the ACL, LCL, and meniscus tears. That's why he is wearing the brace there, but in my gif, he isn't.

The Super Bowl has a concert at halftime. It's not like the field is pristine by the end of the game.

I don't know what y'all want from me. I have repeatedly said Cam should have jumped on the ball, I've repeatedly said he didn't handle the loss well. All I'm saying is he doesn't want to be a gracious loser and who cares, and part of me doesn't blame him for not diving into a barrage of 300 pound dudes when his o-line allowed him to get killed the entire game.

actually he had everything to lose... the superbowl. Cam already has millions. But what you said, says everything about cam. He is in it for the money, not football. Because you play to win the superbowl. He is playing for himself

At the time he could have dove on the ball, the only thing around was Ware's hand. I'd post the gif, but we've all seen it a million times and there is no need.

I'd be right there with you if this was a game in October. This stage is a little different. I know I'd want my teammate to put it all on the line for our team.

Let's see if he gets back to another Super Bowl. It's not exactly an easy thing to do.

And what happens to the first guy who jumps on the ball? He becomes the bottom of a massive dogpile of eye gouges and nut punches.

I guess, but what if he had gotten hurt? What if he needed surgery in the offseason and was never the same after that? I don't know if that would have made Panthers fans happy either.

What if he had recovered the fumble and completed the game winning TD drive?

He should be a good teammate like Peyton and not help out the backup QB who is taking his job.
