Wow, is that true? I always thought that was big reason for the break up.

Yes. A&M was ok with the network. A&M had been exploring one similar for itself. The problem was how they continued to try to skirt the rules after they were agreed to and the big 12 commissioner was essentially allowing it to happen

the problem wasnt the network, it was that they straight up lied about their intentions with it.

Loftin was a puppet. He went on to frick up big-time at the U of Missouri. He also demanded a major settlement when he was fired by aggy.

Loftin... another one not to be trusted. Another aggy financial prostitute.

Yes, what a terrible decision it's turned out to be for us. We could have been in a conference with BYU and Cincinnati!

All most of us cared about was getting out of that conference and into a better one. If we were able to make Texas look bad in the process that's icing on the cake

Anyone notice that all those Longhorn Network boogeymen conjured up by aggy and the Mothershuckers were discussed and voted on by conference members, then aggy hauled arse anyway?

Try again.

Poor aggy. Traded one boss (Texas) for another one (Alabama).

Watch out, Tide fans, once the arse-kickings of aggy start to mount, they will turn on you, too.

How is that a lie? Showing high school football games, along with how many conference games can be shown on the Longhorn Network (along with financial considerations for the team appearing) were both voted on by the Big 12 Conference.

The former, aggy voted against. The latter... well, y'all had already hauled arse.

The Longhorn Network was a convenient scapegoat for aggy to slip out the back door.

Now they don't have anyone to talk smack to at church or at work because they left behind their state of Texas associations, and they miss their "rivalries." Hence, why you've seen this board invaded by aggies wanting to talk shite to someone... anyone.

Showing high school football games,
was not agreed to by anyone and is literally a NCAA violation. In fact, the conference voted AGAINST being able to do that after everyone called texas put on their shite

we agreed to ONE game being owned by the school. Not two

So are you saying Texas is COMPLETELY not at fault for any reason in the demise of the Big XII?

Sooner fan, we know how this will go.

Oklahoma bitched and moaned about wanting expansion, and finally Texas gave in, but backed their own candidate (U of Houston). True story.

Now that everyone sees expansion as distasteful (which Texas has all along, they were just trying to appease Oklahoma), Oklahoma will now blame Texas for all of it.

That's just how it rolls.
