That's wrong if that is the case.
If true, Barrett ought to be allowed to transfer immediately

You can bet your arse that Barrett or anyone related to him will not be paying a dime for tuition that semester.

I agree. Holy shite use some fricking sense. Wasn't his BAC pretty low? Like he had only had 2 or 3 drinks low? That is not impaired enough to bother how you drive. It's not like he was blackout drunk rolling around Columbus.

Da fuq?
So he's just entitled to this scholarship?

I think it was OSU that took a scholarship away from an engineering student just for running on the field. Amirite?

At any rate, you don't just get to keep that thing if your behavior doesn't warrant it. Sheesh

He went to OSU to escape the thug culture at UF and rebuild his image. I applaud Urban

Based on his size, 7 or 8 drinks in 2 hours.

And he's getting his summer aid pulled, not an actual semester.

Urban just released a book and went on an interview tour preaching how good he and his coaching staff are at leading now. He spoke a lot about player disincline in an interview with Mike Francesa, now he has absolutely no option but to throw the book at any and all of his players who frick up. Sucks Urbz.

The only problem I have with this, is that you're punishing someone that hasn't been convicted of a crime, only arrested. Sure, he may be guilty, but innocent until proven guilty is a lost concept. I understand that innocent until proven guilty isn't a burden that OSU, or any college has to apply, but still bothers me.

Barrett paying out of pocket to win Ohio state games and make them money is an awful look.

Am I the only one who doesn't see this as that harsh a punishment? He's only suspended one game. It's not like he's out the rest of the year. A lost scholly for one term shouldn't affect him much. Urban will make sure he's on the field winning games.

So forgive me if I don't applaud Urban here.

This is utter bullshite. Imagine if an NFL player were suspended for a game, but fined his entire salary. That's the equivalent.

Pulling a scholarship as a stand-in for a monetary fan is downright immoral, given an athlete's financial situation and dependence. The one-game suspension seems about right for a misdemeanor, but the scholarship pulling makes my skin crawl.
