I mean yeah it can also be used as a cutting agent/lean mass and diuretics but there are stronger and less detectable compounds

They're all on it, some mask much better than the others.

I don't think everyone is. Steroids wouldn't be worth it if you are a newly signed UFC rookie who will make 5,000 for his fight.

But I wouldn't be surprised if 60-80% of the bigger names used something at some point

I can agree with that. I bet he miss timed a cycle, or took more than dr. told him to. He's always been on it, as well as all the top guys.

Personally I'm all for it. A legit supply of steroids for a year can cost 10,000 or more easily. Why not use if you are getting paid 250k or more plus another 250k to win, off the record bonuses, performance of the night bonus, Ppv shares. Yeah a big name gut would kinda be foolish not to.

I'm sure he was on the something not detectable. I wanna say it was after the first Serra fight when his shoulder muscles transformed

Sucks. I'm one of the few on here who was a big Silva fan after watching crush Rich Franklin the way he did twice. I was thrilled to finally see a mma fighter have great head movement that rivals most good boxers. He is looking at a 9 month suspension and probably not fighting again until 2016. He would be 40. It's over. Retire.

They all do it. Most are better at avoiding testing positive than others. This also applies to football players.

Long term health reasons? Getting hit in the head isn't the smartest thing either I guess.

and the Hendricks fight I don't really remember either I just remember it being really close.

No.. not even close. GSP was even shocked that the judges gave him the win because Hendricks absolutely dominated that entire fight. GSP simply won because of his name.

Fwiw this is the third Blackhouse fighter since July to test positive for drostanolone.

Doesn't look good for Silva.

Steroids can have therapeutic effects when administered properly under the supervision of a doctor who is well versed in endocrinology, hormonal therapy, etc. the problem for the avg joe is most people aren't getting the right thing.

For instance the drug silva tested for is something some breast cancer patients take. I can only assume its taken by cancer patients to have some sort of benefit.

I'm sure he just saw one of those "Are you still a man?" low-T commercials on TV and decided he wanted his manhood back.
