He was designated for assignment last week. Just getting an arm that can be used as a lefty in the bullpen down the road. Not bad at all.

Francisco of course has great power and a good arm, but has an awful approach.

He'll play first base for them because the Brewers are weird

They've got Reed for two years at a good price plus he brings veteran presents.

He's a good hitter, and should play the outfield before Gattis. Great pinch hitter too

I think the same could have been said for guys like

Chris Hammond
Peter Moylan
Mike Remlinger
Kevin Grybowski

and all worked out great

Keeling is more for depth likely. He may see time next year or further down the line if someone gets hurt and they need a lefty

And Remlinger was a top draft pick I'm pretty sure

Hammond and Remlinger were proven major league pitchers when the Braves acquired them

Moylan was signed off the Australian team and Gryboski is the exception, not close to the rule

Either way, this dude has spent 4 seasons in the minors, purely as a RP and has barely gotten to AA...oh and he's struggled at every level

Well then lets revisit this in a few years. Dont write the kid off. The Braves front office knows how good Francisco is. I will tell you something that isnt the exception and is for sure the rule, The Braves front office in the last 15-20 years has been right about guys a ton. Have faith

That's great, what's his ERA?

shite, Dan quit using 20 pound dumbbells when he was 3 years old, that's why he can't hit now, too many muscles altering his swing.

This trade makes sense....I guess....maybe not.

That kid's career ERA numbers aren't exactly eye-popping, but whatever.
