Braves making trade with dbacks

Per twitter #DBacks getting IF Phil Gosselin for Arroyo, Toussaint. Clearing money.

At first glance it looks great. Then when you think about it, the Braves essentially bought Toussaint for 10 million bucks. He's a pretty good prospect... but that's pretty steep.

I don't think they care too much about 15 and 16 money. They essentially bought the 75th pick for $6M (Cahill). Toussaint is much, much more valuable than AJ Minter.

Hope you Braves fans are not happy about getting a 38 year old pitcher that has had Tommy John surgery. Sure you also got a "good prospect" but it;s a single A player and who knows what you will get.

At least Finley had serious financial issues when he sold off his players.

I think the Dbacks just wanted to get rid of Bronson and found a team to take him. He is 38 coming off Tommy Johns surgery. They did have to get rid of a upper tier prospect but he is just in single A. I know he was highly coveted in the 2014 draft but he is still just a prospect and who knows if he pans out.
