I'm going Ingram all day, unless I'm a team that only needs a defender, which most of your lower tier teams need immediate offense.

Brandon is a smooth fluid athlete with room to grow.

Simmons has room to grow in some areas but he is what he is pretty much already.

If this was 2k I'd give Ingram a A in potential. And I'd give Simmons a B in potential.

What says this wonderful board?

Are we talking college or pro here? There's a huge difference.

Both of these guys are soft and neither get me overly excited about this year's draft.

I hope If the 76ers have the 1st pick they take Ingram, so the Lakers have a shot at Ben....

I am an LSU fan ... but I have not bought into the Simmons hype. At All.

Ingram might be soft, but it's not because of his mentality. Dude plays aggressive as hell. Simmons plays soft as frick for 80% of every game. I think he'll be awesome, though.

Simmons ball handling will always make him more valuable.

The Lakers are basically the worst possible fit for Simmons.

Give me Ingram if I am the Twolves or Lakers, give me Simmons if I am anyone else.

Ingram is a better basketball player with a better skill set for sure. If he was 20 lbs heavier, he would be considerably better than Simmons.

ingram. yes, ingram has been in a slump recently, but just watch the tape. steps into his shot, smooth stroke, isnt afraid to bang, he just oozes defensive potential once he fills out his frame. ive been on the ingram train for a while now. the only thing you worry about him is whether he will actually fill his frame out

you dont only choose ingram because of his potential, you also take him because hes the better perimeter scorer and its easier to score in the NBA when you have that skill set

He reminds me a little of Anthony Davis but with more range shooting. But of course not going to be that kind of defender.

Really not that similar. Simmons is more of a post player.

As bad as Simons' perimeter shot currently is, I don't believe he would necessarily have to develop prior to the draft as some people think. He'll get enough transition points and assist over the first couple of years to be deemed successful. His defense is what worries me. While it's probably the easiest skill set to pick up, he just doesn't seem willing to do it with any effort. There is little concern about Ingram's willingness to play quality defense.
