Shaun Hill in for @Vikings, ensuring that Sam Bradford finishes the season with an NFL-record 71.6 completion percentage

Congrats Sam

He has basically one NFL quality receiver, so I'm cool with that this year.

That offensive line was also brutal.

What a joke. How many TD's did he throw? How many passes over 10 yards did he throw? Now check those #s against Brees record and you'll see how Bradford gets himself to that "record".

Actually Brees is just a smidgeon ahead of Bradford in distance his passes travel in the air. Brees having the record had a lot to do with the distance his passes travel as well.

Brees 2011 with 71.2%
46 TD's vs 11 Int
5,476 yards
657 attempts

Bradford with 71.6%
20 TD's 5 Int 20 TD's in 15 games?
3,877 yards
552 attempts

It's not even close. The dude didn't win his team games by checking down the ball over and over and over. It's ridiculous he should have that record.

And yet he still completed a higher percentage of passes than Brees in 2012

LINK. If you look at avg distance passes travel in the air Drew is only one spot ahead of Bradford and Waaaaay down the list among all QBs. If Bradford is check down king then Brees gotta be the check down prince.

2011 moron

And again, that "record" got the Vikings 8-8 and out the playoffs because he didn't win games.

Brees got the Saints to the playoffs and a play away from the SB. He won games for the Saints because he aired it out. His record was based on actually having balls and throwing for the win. 46 TD's.

All your other shite is a troll like usual. Tell our friend to keep your posts in check because you're not good at it.

46 TD's and almost 2,000 yards more than Bradford. Bradford was a pussy who barely threw the ball, only had 20 TD's and got his team nowhere.

The distance a pass travels in the air is what it is. You can't discredit Bradford and say Brees this and Brees that when Brees average pass is almost as short as Sam's is that dog don't hunt. I'm sure whoever held the record before Brees threw longer passes than Brees on average.

One more time, troll. I get what you're saying about distance. Brees is still ahead of Bradford. But what you're conveniently skipping over is Brees threw it 100 times more than Sam, had 26 more TD's than Sam, and had almost 2,000 yards more than Sam.

Bradford did nothing that great for his team. I know you're trolling Saints fans because you know Brees is beyond awesome and you have Brock.

Tell C Happy New Year and for you to get a life!

A record that could potentially only stand for 4 hours or so. Drew Brees is currently at 70.9% - 442/623. He's had 8 regular season games out of his 173 game career with the Saints where his numbers would have been good enough for him to surpass Bradford's .7155 number he just posted. Slightly less than 5% of his games with the Saints would have been good enough.

For what it's worth, a 13 for 13 start against the Falcons would give Brees the record, and he's just have to hold on from there. He averages around 40 attempts per game, so if he's 33/40 today, he would pass Bradford.

A completion record doesn't have anything to do with tds or wins so its not BS. Sam completed a higher % of his attempts than anyone ever. That's all the record says. I tip
My cap to him. I'm sure he'd gladly trade the record for a playoff berth.

You think Brees would have 46 TDs if Peterson was his RB?
