He's like a teenage girl.
This is the right move, not a fan of expansion just for the sake of expansion. Ready to gtfo of this pansy conference when it blows up. It's killing recruiting

I am not surprised that the Big 12 would turn expansion into a shite show.

Oklahoma deserves this for going with Baker Mayfield. He isnt good and he is a whiny self centered ego bitch. He doesnt win any awards last year if Boykin/Russell don't get hurt

This was always going to be the end result once the league could have a championship game with 10 teams.

Exactly. Its Louisville all over again. UH has in state politics backing them (just like TCU did) so Boren's whole concept of expanding to expand the footprint to get a network going is shot to hell.

Despite him not wanting it the Big 12 will expand with Cincy and UH. Those two programs will be forced to accept a sliding payscale over a long period of time so the other Big 12 programs can artificially raise their pay for a while. Then in 2022 when the GOR is almost over Kansas will surprise us all by taking a B1G invite in the middle of the night and the conference will fall apart that next weekend.

Or maybe they realize that there are absolutely no options that actually make sense

He is the only one in the Big 12 with good ideas. The problem is he isn't running the program with all the power.

He is right they needed a network years ago to survive long term.

He is right that the Big 12 needed to expand the footprint to get that network.

He was right about Louisville.

The fact that the real power in the conference doesn't agree proves that Texas doesn't want it to last. Hence why the Texas leaders support adding Houston, who cares about crapping all over a public bathroom if you don't have to clean it?

OU's problem is the GOR still has a lot of time on it and would cost $100 million+ to get out of today so they have to wait another 6-7 years minimum to make a move.

Unless OU or UT join the SEC, you will have a geography problem in terms of selling recruits on the ACC, Big Ten or Pac 12.
