Ohhh noooo the horror.

neither of which spreads the floor very well?

I mean neither is an amazing shooter, but both are respectable especially from midrange. Boogie's ability to put it on the floor helps a ton too.

Hating on this frontcourt idea is hilarious. They would be absurd.

They both space, both are pretty good shooters. It wouldn't be my first choice but to trade buddy, 2 1st rounders assuming one will be bad if this works for a top 3 center/10 player is something you do everyday of the week.

We can still re-sign jrue as well.

Davis and Cousins together would be nasty. Would finally go to their games.

A "Twin Towers" in this current NBA would wreak havoc.

Would definitely be getting League Pass next season if this goes through and once the 76ers are fully healthy

Midrange is not really spreading the floor. And neither guy is a distributor who can keep the offense moving.

I mean obviously their team would improve, but my point is there are much better ways to spend their money that would help the team a lot more.

Like Paul George or building through the draft?

Time is ticking for Davis and making him happy is absolutely necessary right now. I absolutely would kill for George here but it's not happening. Getting cousins to make this a playoff team may eventually turn other guys into wanting to come.

Cousins ball movement is underrated imho

I mean if that's all they can get then that's all they can get.

I just think it would be a weird roster and while I think they would be decent, they wouldn't be as good as a team with two star players should be.

Yes it is. Those 2 could play high low from the top of the key all damn day. Boogie could torch the big closing out on him like he always does and have AD either catch a lob or be there to rebound.

Your tiny basketball brains seems to have been warped by D'Antoni.

Smallest market in the league where the league is basically making it impossible to lose your players with their dreadful drafting track record?

Boogie for Jimmer 2.0 and a couple of meh firsts? Seriously?

I don't see how anyone could hate on the Pels for trying to do this

What other chance would they have of getting talent next to AD?

They aren't good enough shooters to really spread the floor. Obviously they would play high low but they aren't good enough from 3 to truly space the floor.

The reason you are defending the idea is because your favorite team, Memphis, has played that way for a decade.

But guess what.. Memphis is not known for being a great offensive team even with Gasol and Z-Bo (two great players) playing high low.

Memphis was good due to great defense. Unless the Pelicans are going to turn into vintage Memphis on defense, they aren't going to have the success the Grizzlies have had.

Davis and Cousins would be a whole lot better running that high low than those two and that's saying something. If those two gel, that would be very scary

doesn't matter
you trade for cousins and you figure it out

Very different types of players. Neither would shoot 3's. They can't attack off the bounce. ZBo has like negative athleticism. Plus AD and Boogie can both get out and run, create early mismatches.

If you want to do a direct comparison then fine. Marc vs. Boogie. Both very skilled. Boogie is WAY more aggressive than Marc, which I think many would believe has back Marc's numbers. Boogie is a much better rebounder. Marc's a much better defender, which AD could help cover for.

I don't think AD and ZBo could be more different. And I feel like expounding on that would be a waste of time.

It's obviously not an exact comparison, but the similarities are there with how Memphis plays.

And their defense wouldn't be near what Memphis is known for.

I know why you're defending it, but I'm not buying it.

Pels would probably need to make a coaching change to get the most out of those two guys together, but it can be deadly

get the guy averaging 28/11/5, figure the rest out later.
