Checking in from Palm Springs. Really jacked to see Rafa as I have pretty much watched everybody else live. Wanted Murray/Kei tomorrow, but would have been a 3 hour war. Murray/Lopez is at least a nice contrast in styles.

Are you staying for Friday? Nadal-Raonic and Fed-Berdych should be fantastic.

Yeah, didn't see matches today, but going to every Thursday to Saturday session. Women's draw has been decimated, but oh well.

Yo yo yo!
Murray is a bad matchup for Felpez. I don't recall Felpez ever beating him, and I always remember their matches because it reminds me of how awkward it must have been for both of them when Murray's mom came out and basically said she wanted to bang felpez. I was gonna bet on Murray, but then it was like -800, which just seemed excessive.
I'm on Rafa tomorrow at -175. That just strikes me as a bargain. Last time I remember Rafa playing the servebot on a hardcourt was in Montreal two seasons ago, and Rafa just completely depantsed him. Just made him look amateur. Yeah yeah, I realize the servebot has improved somewhat, but I still think -175 is a nice price.
Federer is -230 v. Berdych.
I wonder if Federer and Nadal have ever both lost on the same day?
Anybody?

LOL at "somewhat". If Nadal plays like he did vs Young he's going to get crushed. And I'm no Raonic fan. Look for Nadal to be visibly envious of Raonic's thick, lustrous hair.
And fed ain't losing to Berdych.

I was pleasantly surprised to see some action from this tourney on ESPN 2 earlier today. I don't get the tennis channel, fun to see some tennis between Grand Slams.

Me either. I stream tennistv.com to my tv. Streams all non GS matches in HD. $25 per month.

Well...this part is certainly true.

Rafael Nadal getting "crushed" by Milos Raonic in a tennis match is an event that my simple mind cannot even begin to fathom. I try to imagine it, but then I can feel the spacetime equilibrium begin to wobble, and so for the sake of humanity as a whole, I think about something that comes closer to falling within the parameters of reality. Like me banging Anna Kournikova in 1997...tomorrow.

Just got back from today's action. Only thing that sucked was Tomic default. I was in the first row to see Novak practice, so that sort of made up for it. Pennetta v Lisicki was absolutely incredible tennis. Also cool to see Sock and Pospisil v Bryan Bros. I had no idea they did no ad scoring for doubles in these events. Makes the match go lightning quick. This tournament is a notch nicer than Toronto and Cincinnati. Even more fan friendly than RG.

I, too, love to watch the players practice. I think I might even enjoy it more than watching the actual matches.
2.
I didn't realize that either until I saw Donaldson and Kozlov play the Bryan Bros in DC. You're right, the matches go by super quick.

Never give up hope, man. Alyssa Milano will be mine one day. And I will show her who the boss really is.

That was boring. I hope Nadal/Raonic is a better match.

How do Raonic's serves look in person?
Posted on 3/20/15 at 6:37 pm to emanresu
I think I have heat stroke right now. Tiebreaker was great. 147 mph bomb up the T at 6-6 in the breaker was ridic. I don't know how it looks on TV, but Rafa returning serve at or behind the "Indian Wells" on the court was insane. He is moving in more as of late.

Motherfricking Serena pulled out and the stadium doesn't know it yet. Worried it's going to get ugly here.

Haha. Good thing tennis fans don't riot like eurotrash soccer fans.
