If it wasn't for tim tebow, gabbert would be the prime example of how shitty quarterbacks are overvalued.

FYI, Tim Tebow > Gabbert and its not close.

We have a million picks, a stacked roster that late-round picks would be hard-pressed to crack, and a garbage backup. Fully support this move.

This.

First-pick.com lists 7 picks for the 49ers in the first 5 rounds with 4 in the 6th and 7th rounds (11 total picks). Losing the 6th round pick for a former 10th overall pick isn't a bad deal for the 49ers in any case. Great deal for both teams as the Jaguars now have 11 picks to wheel and deal in an attempt to get more talent on their team.

Jacksonville traded QB Blaine Gabbert to SF for a 6th round pick, per sources.

I think there's a "frick you" to Kaepernick in there somewhere.

I bet they traded for this loser just so they can prove to him that ANY QB would win with that defense.

Harbaugh, if still with the 49ers in the next 3-5 years, could potentially groom him. I mean look what he did with Alex Smith

The fact that there was at least one GM in the NFL who thought Blaine Gabbert was worthy of a first round pick is outrageous. Actually, its's kind of infuriating. Seriously, some of us here could have done a better job.

LOL at anyone insinuating this is a good move by the 49ers.

Seriously. That 6th round pick could have been used on something better. Like a shoe.

Well it's pretty tough to give Jim Harbaugh the benefit of the doubt since he's proven he knows nothing about NFL quarterbacks but, despite that, I find myself taking a wait and see attitude on this.

Anything more than a bag of footballs and SF got ripped off. Maybe the Gags have a real GM now.

BUT, Brunell and Leftwich both got rings after they left Jacksonville...

at least you don't have the shame of trading the 10th overall for a sixth three years later.

No, you'd just have the shame of cutting him.

Dave Caldwell is legit and is doing some serious work in Jacksonville. Gabbert was awful and I hated the pick. I have hated a lot of J'ville drafts for several years. Busts all over the damn place. Caldwell and Bradley for real though. Need a monster pass rusher and hope to get Jaboo Winston next season.
