Think this is just a microcosm of how out of touch BS is these days. He's a cranky old dude trying to stay relevant and hip. You would think he understands how the internet works given he grew his fortune from it.

Yeah, he got credit, and begged this dude to start this column when they worked together, and is still trying to act like he has some sort of monopoly on a dumb article format

Wouldn't surprise me. Even if he did, it's the fricking internet. Everything is stolen and ripped off and there's no recourse. Fighting that only makes you look like an idiot and burns bridges with a guy you apparently used to repspect enough to work for you

Considering this is the 2nd annual installment for Keri, I'd say he can, and he has.
Also, like the article states and I agree, that would be ESPN's thing to own, if anyone. Not Simmons.

I think it's possible he is just joking. It doesn't really read like a joke, but I cant imagine he is really calling out Johan.

I used to like Bill Simmons but he's insufferable now. He's failed on television twice, and his new site is awful. He's trying way too hard to seem hip and cool and it just makes him look even more out of touch.

i used to listen to his podcast religiously. but he got more and more full of himself, to the point it was just painful to listen to.

Every now and then, he'll put out some good ones, usually the one-on-one interviews with people in the NBA (Steve Kerr, Luke Walton, Kevin Durant) but for the most part, he has turned it into the Bill Simmons Best Friends Network. Joe House gets entirely too much air time on multiple pods for being a fat 40 year old white dude who still wears flatbills.

He's a terrible interviewer to the point where even interesting guests that he gets I have no interest in listening
Only time I listen is during football season and that's for Cousin Sal. I used to like Lombardi too now but he's gone full media troll now that hes done with real football jobs and got hired by the Ringer.

I've been as ardent of a Simmons defender as there is, but he really is starting to come off as out of touch lately. This looks pretty pathetic.
