Watch a highlight reel of Melvin Gordon in college, or any of the other recent Badger RB greats and you'll see exactly what Burr is hoping for. Flip the ball to the ref, go celebrate with your linemen.

I get irrationally pissed off when, e.g., a corner gets clearly beat on the play and a poor throw leads to an incompletion so the corner makes an incomplete signal etc.

He’s not wrong, I wish the ref would start flagging it. Clean it up a bit. Let a player get a 15yrd penalty on 3rd down for talking shite and watch the coach straighten him up. Actually the penalty should be 5yrd and automatic 1st down

I actually don’t mind players being cocky and running their mouths a bit .... if they back it up.

He's not wrong. It's ridiculous the things that are celebrated today, almost every play is celebrated by someone. Used to be, you did it because you were supposed to, then lined up and did it again.

I don't think it's fair to act like every team behaves like this. You don't see much of this if you watch a Saban-coached team.
