What's the OP's question? Will they get in or do they deserve to get in?

They will both be in, Eli has two rings and was a major player in each of their playoff runs that alone will get him in. But yeah his overall numbers are underwhelming.

Eli has to get in. How many 2x SB mvps aren't in Canton?

They'll both get in. Rosinbagger is probably the better of the two, but it will take longer for him to get in cause he's a rapist. You can't just force your way into the HoF like you can a weak woman.

Serious question, how many players are in canton that were never first or second team all-NFL even once in their career? Have Ben or Manning jr ever been considered top 4 at their position at a given time? IMO if either make it in the "super bowls" are a quarterback stat meme will have officially jumped the shark.

Multiple SB's will get them in.

Jim Plunkett is the only QB to win more than one SuperBowl not to be in Canton. Both will get in.

Eli YES

Big Ben NO

Eli has a long way to go.

I could see Big Ben out of football in 2 or 3 years.

But on the flip side, he's played in a pretty average offensive system and never really had the talent or system around him to shine. He's had a crap offensive line for most of his career and a nonexistent running game. He pretty much has been the entire offense for them for quite a while now.

I agree with pretty much all of this. It's a surprise he's still even able to play with the OLs he has had. Guy has scrambled for his life his entire career.

Because the media are lazy.

Lol, it's not like there was another guy that stood out. Maybe tuck with his two sacks in the first SB, but who else should have received it?
Media is lazy most of the time yes, but at least provide some valid alternatives.
What holds Eli back is his regular season play, he's been above average in the playoffs. I think he's just lazy.

When your offense only scores 17 points, and when the defense holds the top scoring offense in the league to 14 points, the MVP is probably not the QB. Tuck's sacks and pressure did more to win that game than Eli did.

He's not lazy, they just have no running game and their offensive line got old. He forces it too much.

Big Ben was the reason the Steelers were 8-8 last year and not 3-13.

That was a BAD football team.

thought their defense played okay. Nothing like what you would expect from them traditionally but that's what happens when key players on that side of the ball get older.

I remember early last year the Steelers O wasn't putting a lot of points on the board. I think they only scored 9 points at home against the Titans.

but I think one thing that has always kind of been a bother for the Steelers is their O-line. Maybe Mike Munchak will have that group playing better this year? I thought that was a good hire by the Steelers to coach the O-line.

Eli looked horrible last year. It was kind of the Giants defense that really helped them rally and win some games. They got better as the year went along, especially after they acquired Jon Beason.

I can't really picture either being a Hall of Famer but if either wins another Super Bowl I think you have to give them the nod.
