Didn't see it posted but Ice Cube and others are starting a professional 3 on 3 basketball league. Will likely consist of former NBA players, college guys that didn't make it, etc. Word is Iverson is going to play.

But who cares if it sucks? People always do this thing where they complain about more stuff.

Like when they make a movie sequel or a reunion season or some shite and people think "they shouldn't do this! It will ruin things!" fricking how? More is better in these cases. There is no possible way this will negatively impact your life.

Exactly. I don't know how they'll execute this one but there is potential for something cool here. I think it was Simmons who suggested the teams be based off colleges, most of which are in cities/areas with no professional team.

I've actually thought a lot about what the NBA would look like if they went to a 3-on-3 format and kept the courts the same size. Seven-man rosters. You'd end up having between 40 and 50 franchises, and you could have teams in some of the smaller towns. In an alternate universe, I think it could be fun.

you'd lose more revenue in fans whom wouldn't watch than you'd gain in less player costs

Saw ice cube on espn this morning talking about it. He said they were going to have 4 pt circles on the floor. Not sure if they'll still have a 3 pt line or not. Just heard bits and pieces
