Big difference between conquering your sport then moving on to something as opposed to failing miserably then deciding your dream all along was a different sport.

mass media and Jordan was the most popular and best athlete on the planet. Him retiring when he did was one of the biggest sports stories of the 90s. Everywhere he went on the road was a circus. I definitely went and saw him play the Memphis Chicks and the old Tim McCarver Stadium. Tebow is just a washed out football player who was a TV personality that is trying baseball to stay popular.

Jordan. He was playing tougher competition in AA and was starting to really come around. I firmly believe he would have eventually made the majors if his basketball suspension was lifetime instead of just a year.

Yeah! Screw that guy for trying to do something 99.9% of athletes cant do.

Seriously why all the hate? He could make more money and have an easier life on the motivational speaking circuit or in politics, reality shows, or any number of things. But he's trying to do something nearly impossible instead.

Anyway, the answer is Jordan because he did it at double A. Huge difference between AA and rookie ball but Tebow is still going so who knows. If we're being honest, both are impressive after being out of baseball for so long.

Although i dont really buy it, Terry Francona said this too. (Francona was his manager in Birmingham).

Hell of a college WR, and played baseball with a football player's mentality.

Jordan had some really solid numbers against top competition in fall league. He was starting to come around. He would have had a chance to make the majors as a replacement during the strike but probably not ever under different circumstances. That's why he quit when he did. He didn't want to "make it" as a replacement and then get demoted
