1. Elway
2. Favre
3. Rodgers
4. Marino
ETA: As I clarified in later posts in this thread, this isn't my ranking of best QBs or even best passers. This is a ranking based upon the assumption that arm talent = arm strength. Nothing else.

JaMarcus. He could throw 70 yards from his knees!

I know a guy who played small college fb as a WR and went to MS to catch balls from Favre when he was working on a comeback. He said when Favre really zinged it, you could hear it whistle a little.

About the best you can do with A list like this.........

The Rodgers throw yesterday is a far better example of his arm strength/talent...flick of the wrist laser beam in the only place the ball could be thrown...that throw will go down as one of the important non-TD throws of all time.

Yeah, Donald Lee showed the torn gloves and crooked fingers from catching Favre.

The lack of respect for the talents of Dan Fouts on here is amazing....

how bout jeff george?
what most impresses me about rodgers is his accuracy and arm strength when he's on the run. Elway was pretty mobile, and i remember Marino to be something of a statue. Favre wasnt a statue and he had a cannon, but dude threw way too many interceptions.

It's definitely Rodgers
Old timers will disagree because they have a hard time coming to terms with the fact that things from their time wouldn't cut it nowadays.

I would actually rate Cutler as second to Marino. A few years ago he made a throw that was close to the Marino one I mentioned.

Favre in his prime, no question.

Rodgers
Favre
Elway
Marino
Rodgers has no peers with the throws he can make & the velocity he puts on them
