This.

At best, he's 50% Mexican, at worst, 25%.

Archie Manning and Fran Tarkenton are both in...so Romo gets in.

Being the leading passer in Dallas Cowboys history will probably be enough to get him in and more yards than HOFers Kurt Warner, Y.A. Tittle, Sonny Jurgensen, Len Dawson and Terry Bradshaw.

Also, Dan Marino, Dan Fouts, Warren Moon never won a Super Bowl.

Wait, wut?

You get in now by making 2 measly Pro Bowls?

Damn, the NFL HOF is easier to get into than Arizona St.

Pro Bowls? Romo was in the Pro Bowl 4 times.

Romo is top-5 passer rating of all time, and there is no question that he is a top-50 quarterback of all time...shite, he's a top-30 quarterback of all time.

He's a shoe-in. And don't forget about the power of the silver helmet with the blue star on the side! 100% in.

No to Romo:

0 league MVP
0 SB MVP
0 SB Appearances
0 NFC Championship appearances

1 playoff win
117 Interceptions

Lost crucial games to Giants and Philadelphia that would have sent cowboys to playoffs.

Only 34,000 yards thrown 219 ypg

Injured many times.

Archie Manning is not in the Pro Football HOF. At all.

He is in the College Football Hall of Fame.

Romo will not get in. Any assertion that he will be is laughable.

He is, by Hall standards, a borderline case.

He doesn't have the leadership/intangible qualities that push lesser stat collectors in; he doesn't have the success /wins that lets a pedestrian numbers guy be seen as a defining player of his era (looking at you, Eli)-- but he has reasonably strong numbers, was a top 5 player at his position off and on for a period of 5+ years, and has the ridiculous burnishing of being a Cowboy (I'll be glad when these old reporters die)

He's probably in; does he deserve to be? No.

As a contributor after working at CBS for 30 years and launching the virtual reality Tony Romo Football franchise for gamers?

Maybe.

Tony Romo in the HOF?

IMO, no. No rings, no MVP, no NFL records that I know of. In five years, when he's eligible, his football accomplishments will be all but forgotten.
