If you could choose between being an basketball megastar like a Lebron or Kobe or being a Soccer megastar like Ronaldo or Messi, which would you choose and why

Basketball. How is this even a question?

Soccer. No hesitation.
More money. More fame. European women. International travel.

When I said soccer I didn't mean MLS, I mean European

Basketball. I would rather live in America

Soccer. Less life-lasting nagging injuries, extreme stardom, awesome shoes.

Doesn't matter. Give me America, a huge Nike contact, and I can go visit Europe whenever.

You know Ronaldo and Messi get a frick load of money from shoe companies

Yes again, I'd rather live in America and visit Europe. Plus I'd have to play soccer, no thanks.

Anyone that says basketball is either black or a mouth breathing redneck.

Soccer and it's not even close.

At the level of Lebron, Kobe, Ronaldo, and Messi, there is more fame and money than I would know what to do with either direction, so I'd have to pick based on which sport I prefer, and that's soccer.
I think being able to play in the World Cup for Team USA is the trump card.

Probably soccer, but I don't know enough about the transfer rules and contracts issues. For mid level guys, I would say hoops because of the union backing and guaranteed contracts.

You'd be a star in America either way so....

Soccer personally. To each their own, but I think scoring a crazy goal in front of your home country deep in the World Cup would be one of the most intense experiences possible.
Of course a game winning shot in the Finals wouldn't be half bad either.
