NEWS:
Barry Melrose has Parkinson's disease and is stepping away from our ESPN family to spend more time with his. I've worked with Barry at ESPN for over a quarter century. Cold beers and hearty laughs in smokey cigar bars. A razor sharp wit, he was always early & looked like a million bucks. I love him. I'll miss him. Wayne Gretzky on a life dedicated to hockey

Good chance it's related to concussions from playing, unfortunately.

Not sure why the downvotes, sad but true

It’s Parkinson’s, not a cold.

Reading this made me sad. A buddy of mine has ran into him at 3 different airport bars. Said he was friendly as could be and paid the tab all three times

My dad had Parkinson’s. He lived for making jokes like this. Sometimes you just gotta make lemonade

Darn. He was great. Opening night of the NHL season tonight too. Starts at 5:30 on ESPN, Bolts vs Preds.
