You'd be totally fine with a Clemson QB planting a flag in the Tiger Eye of Death Valley?

It's not a huge deal, but it's definitely disrespectful.

The issue really is we don't go back to Oklahoma to get revenge. If this were a conference opponent, it'd be easier to take.

if Tulane somehow does the unthinkable and beats OU this weekend, we'll get an OU and tOSU melt

It's nice to know that Tulane is more optimistic about their chances after being able to be competitive vs. Navy.

Hope they enjoyed their trip to Annapolis ... enjoyed sending the Green Wave home with a L.

Regarding Mayfield ... I do not approve of the apology. You did it. You own it. What's tOSU gonna do? If tOSU's feelings are hurt ... too bad ... play better at home next time and don't get rolled.

I agree. I wouldn't lose sleep over it but let's call a spade a spade. It was meant as a sign of disrespect because it is disrespectful.

Call me old fashioned but just because you are better than someone else at a sport on that given day doesn't mean you get to act like an arse.

Why is planting a flag seen as disrespectful? The stadium is a battlefield. Whoever wins the game conquers the stadium for the time being.

Was it disrespectful to Germany when the soviet flag flew over the reichstag?

I hope this is sarcasm.

You let a man slide today, you must immediately get inside somebody's arse when that happens to you. You pull the a-hole open, step into the a-hole, close the door behind you. Then you take a spray can right, spray Baker was here, wash me all that shitt, frick his whole a-hole up. Get a snickers bar, paper, throw that on the floor, frick his whole a-hole up. Then you open up that a-hole one more time, step out his arse, then leave that motherfricker wide open so he know you've been there

It's too late to apologize. Own this and expect a tough game with big hits in their playoff rematch.

Lol as long as JT Barrett is their QB they will lose at least 2 more games.

He's not really sorry. I'm sure he was told by authority figures to apologize.

Not when the coach and AD say you either apologize or don't play

Do you really think the coach and/or AD is going to keep their star QB and Heisman contender off the field? College football is a bottom line business. Lincoln Reily could have a team of Nobel peace prize winners, but if he goes 4-8 he's looking for a new job. And so is the guy who hired him. Conversely, Reily could have a team of arrogant, unlikeable dip shits. But if he goes 12-0 he gets a huge raise. You don't go 12-0 by sitting your best player for something like this.

Is it classless to do what he did? Absolutely. But I doubt he was truly "made" to apologize. More like he simply just "agreed" to apologize.

We like put college football players and coaches on some idealistic moral pedestal. Ultimately though, the ONLY thing that matters is winning.
