It’s not petty because almost every single fan of one of the Louisiana teams trashes Atlanta on this website on a daily basis. I have been a lurker on here for a decade and they were even trashing it 10 years ago.

They CONSISTENTLY talk about how Atlanta is the worst sports city in America.. how Atlanta has the worst sports fans in America.. how Atlanta is a shithole.. How Atlanta is the worst city in the world… How Atlanta is nasty, bla bla bla, but they all live in Louisiana lol - it makes no sense, so I once again had to call them out.

Let me know when Louisiana gets SEC Championship games, The Summer Olympics, World Cup Soccer, College football Hall of Fame, a Major League Baseball team.. a major league soccer team.. etc etc etc.

They constantly bash Atlanta and they have no idea whatsoever about how great it is to actually live here because they are scared of a little traffic jam.

What, Jasper and Elijay? Yeah it is getting expensive but I've seen just a few blue hairs, mostly In Elijay.

We camp up there often so I know the crowd.

Outside of NFL, it’s a good sports town.

Outside of sports, it’s a shite city.

I live in east Georgia and I hate going to Atlanta

The Thrashers had nothing to do with attendance

ETA: The Hawks have been top-5 in the NBA in attendance the last 3 years.

I’ve been to hawks games and they have been close to capacity everytime I’ve been.

I just get annoyed when if anyone says anything about Atlanta the LA Bots automatically start talking shite about Atlanta. They truly remind me of Ron Bots.

And yea.. with how shitty the Falcons have been the last few years, of course there is going to be a decline in attendance.. just like with any team. If the falcons start being relevant again, every game will be sold out starting this upcoming season

It's a ridiculas idea to even drive in NYC. What major city doesn't have traffic?

Wrong. Atlanta is one of the worst cities in the world for traffic. LINK

Pre-COVID article. It’s not that bad now.
I go into the office one week a month, and my 36 mile commute is around 45 minutes.

The argument it’s worse here is poorly informed and usually a dig at lack of public transit options. We have the option, we just don’t want to ride with the dregs… but honestly we don’t use it because it makes trips several times longer.

I have spent 25 years traveling the globe for work, hitting most of the major big cities and have lived on both coasts. Traffic fricking sucks everywhere. I have lived in Atlanta area for 18 years in two stints, 10 of which I commuted into the city.

I’d honestly say LA traffic is the worst, but it doesn't compare to Mexico City, where they make 2 lanes into 4 lanes and still somehow have fire jugglers setting up shop at every red light.

I commuted into Seattle for a minute, and that floating bridge can be a beotch. I moved into town to avoid commuting at all.

Or the Chinese cities where traffic circles are jammed with cars and mules pulling carts.

Or countries like India where the roads are absolute dogshit.

Atlanta and its metro are horrible places. Horrible traffic and horrible people. The place is a narcissist galore filled with show off douchebags. The traffic is horrible and the public transit infrastructure is a joke. It’s an ugly city with an ugly soul. You can feel the negative vibe there which sucks your energy and makes you depressed.

I suppose its possible that I need go give the actual city a fairer shake. I've enjoyed midtown in the past. Didn't really care for the downtown are where Georgia Dome and Phillips were.

I think I've been assuming that the Braves moving to the suburbs was proof that the entire downtown and near downtown areas were unpleasant.

Hard to compare city centers in the US now with what they were pre-2020, TBH
