Probables for rest of season

Mon: Elder vs. Abbott
Tue: Muller vs. Espino
Wed: Odorizzi vs. Gray
Thu: OFF
Fri: Fried vs. Bassitt
Sat: Wright vs. deGrom
Sun: Morton vs. Scherzer
Mon: Elder vs. Luzardo
Tue: Muller/Odorizzi vs. TBA
Wed: Fried/Muller/Odorizzi vs. Alcantara

If we somehow have a 1 game lead going into the last day of the season we will have a very interesting decision to make, especially against Alcantara. Fried could go on regular rest and clinch the division and a bye with a win but if we lost he’s likely not available in the WC series.

Really didn’t need that distraction at the White House today. Couldn’t they have picked literally any other time? Like the off season?

Seems like we’re using the pennant race as an open audition for the 2023 fifth starter

More like we're making sure Fried pitches against the Mets.

It makes sense. Making sure Fried and Wright pitch in the games that are twice as valuable in the standings and also also lining them up in order for extra rest for the WC series. I wonder if Strider pitches a sim game at some point Saturday or Sunday.

It's the absolute right call to make.

Assuming he has no setbacks, I don't see how he doesn't. Have to imagine the plan is to have him as the third starter for either the Wild Card or NLDS series.

Also a chance that he starts game 1 of the NLDS if we go the wild card route.

Friday and Saturday are probably both gonna be banged. Ian will be moving through and the rain chance is at 80-90% from Friday evening all the way through Saturday w/about 2 inches expected. It is still at 60% Sunday during the day and goes down to 30-40% on Sunday evening. So they may not be able to play until sometime Sunday evening/late afternoon.

It'll be interesting to see how MLB handles it if in fact Fri/Sat.are washed out. DH'er on Sunday and 3rd game if needed the day after the regular season ends? We'll see.

any chance the series gets moved to a neutral site? I have seen that mentioned a few times on some different blogs, no where like ESPN or anything. I have been so focused on its impact on college football this weekend i wasnt even thinking about Atlanta and our series, this sucks

It has to be a neutral site. Possibly Arlington or the Bronx

Getting no hit by a guy with a 4.50 ERA while using our backup pitchers. May not have to worry about where this weekend’s games are played.
