Did Cannon ever play a snap against a black dude?
He was in federal prison for a while, so I'm sure he had a few snaps with black dudes.

I have a hard time imagining babe, marris, mantle, etc competing against today's pitchers.

Same with football players from 50-60 years ago in today's football world.

That slap dick has been trolling every board.

The dedication is sort of admirable but pathetic as well.

they'd be just fine, you're talking about kids that came out of farms, factories, and hayfields, not some "travel" or "elite", have to be in some circle to get a look nonsense, hell I saw Y.A. before a game just a few years ago and he looked like he could get up and kick some arse, still had the fire in his eyes, do you think anyone would be talking about Miles' kid as a D1 qb without his connection?

shite. I'd go with old school pitchers over the guys now. Try digging in against Bob Gibson or Walter Johnson. Hell boy, you ever heard of Nolan Ryan? Tom Seaver? Sandy Koufax? Dizzy Dean? Baseball has probably changed the least. And would the old guys not have access to modern training and ortho care? Think Ted Williams couldn't hit todays pitchers? You no nothing baw.

1925 edition Babe Ruth is nothing more than a minor league player in 2015 IMO. But that doesn't mean he still isn't one of the greatest players of all time. An athlete's greatness should be measured by how he stacked up against his own generation. But I like thinking about things like this as well.

Cannon would probably be at a Southeastern type school.

You can't compare greatness in terms of eras. With that being said, none of them would even be close to as good as there were today.
