So his HR and RBI went down, but slash stayed the same outside of slugging? And he’s not sustaining it.

Yea he overperformed on HR and RBI, but is hitting the same average.

Outside of slugging

Ya, which is the difference between mvp candidate & a slightly above league average player.

...Or a team top 5 across the board or one that is due for some regression

Still feel like a contender gonna trade for Machado which would be a game changer

Also interested to see if Yanks deal for a starter

It will snow in New England.
Ball lost in snow squall.
Astros win, Astros win.
Astros vs Los Gigantes.

Baumgartner wins 4.
Posey mvp as Baumgartner throws back to back no hitters.

Said Astros vs. the Nationals at the beginning of the year, and I'm still gonna stick with it, despite the Nationals being pretty much average all year. I think they become elite again by the end of the year. I could easily see the Yankees winning the AL though, and the Cubs winning the NL. Those are my two wild cards.

Braves take game one from the Yankees in a World Series preview.

Ronald Acuna smacks the go ahead homer in the extra innings. TD poster Lester Earl continues to make a fool of himself

Improved bullpen is an absolute must if the braves want to seriously contend...maybe get a solid starter and a cheap 3rd baseman like moose but I'm content with carmargo there...if they can do that without breaking the farm im down otherwise I'm content with a wildcard battle

Well.... now

I can say I was right about pitching staffs even though the Astros dominated the Red Sox recently....

Verlander has seen his a difference in his ERA from 2.29 pre-AS to 3.77 post AS
Cole 2.52 Pre-AS to 3.66 post AS
Morton 2.96 Pre-AS to 3.55 post AS

Now I stated I picked Boston because I had more faith in their rotation as I thought the Astros starters were playing above their head, doesn't mean they were bad but that they would regress. Many will still have fantastic CY Young worthy seasons.

Sale 2.23 ERA Pre-As vs 0.00 Post AS
Price 4.42 ERA Pre-As vs 1.56 post AS
Porcello 4.13 Pre-AS vs 4.62 post AS

Also, I bitched about Lynn and Britton for the Yankees

Lynn has a 4.79 over 7 starts with the Yankees, he has had some great games but some clunkers as well

Britton 3.72 ERA for the Yankees which is down, however, the Yankees will not bring him in high leverage situations right now.

Still not a fan of either move and hope they end up working later on. Would prefer Warren and Austin right now but Voigt has been HUGE for the Yankees and Austin would not have a position anyway.

While your prediction for Stros rotation regressing in the second half came to pass, Verlander looked filthy yesterday (had 7 Ks thru first 9 batters), Morton has looked fine in 2 starts since coming back from the DL, and Gerrit Cole has gotten back into a groove. Stros pen now looks meaningfully improved. Big outstanding is Correa, he has looked horrific since coming back. Altuve has only looked a little bit better than he. Stros in pretty decent shape and might be the favorite if Correa/Altuve come back to life these last few weeks.

Red Sox don't have the bullpen to make it out of the AL.
