At least when Pitino process players to make room, he invites them back.

So your source that he invited him back strictly because he was transferring to a D1 school instead of a D2 school is a message board post?

It's not a message board. It's the largest Kentucky sports news web site. It happens to have a comments section, just like 98% of news sites do.

But a simple Google search will confirm this as true.

If there are articles that prove what you posted to be true, link those. Not a poorly written, one paragraph writeup of what might have happened.

And if I went and Google searched every single thing that was posted on here, I'd spend way too much time on Google.

And I don't find the idea to be that crazy. The idea to transfer to a D2 school was so that the kid could play immediately and then rejoin Louisville the next year. It's not like Pitino gave him his spot back once he figured out the kid was considering Quinnipiac.

It' just odd. He was at least the 2nd (can't remember exactly) player Pitino has urged to transfer after signing another player.

He wants to keep player A on the roster, but a better player, player B, comes along. He tells A to transfer for a year, play DII ball, and then transfer back. This way he gets to keep A & B while only losing A for one year.

It's pretty crafty.

Maybe crafty but still a shitty thing to do. And the players must have pretty low self worth to go along with it. The guy has trouble recruiting so he'll go to any means necessary to acquire some decent talent. His behavior is nothing short of bizarre and erratic these days.

When I did one of those "Google searches" you told me about, I saw a much better article where the kid said he wasn't going to play because of talent and a rehabbing knee, so transferring to a DII school was best for him.

Then when he decided to transfer to a DI school, Pitino offered him his spot back (after another recruit left the team) because he said that the idea was for him to play for a year, not sit out. If he's going to not play somewhere, he may as well practice with Louisville for a year.
