Yes, and I am glad they got that opportunity. There are also a ton of more deserving males who missed out on that same opportunity.

Not at all. I think in order to keep the true spirit of competitiveness there cant be such large gaps in talent. That can vary from the different sports and different sexes.

This means that sometimes suzy or johnny who love the sport oh so much just arent good enough. And that is ok. They shouldnt be given an opportunity because its there, but instead because they earned it.

I think the main issue with the talent gap is exacerbated because of women's college basketball.

As you said earlier, chalk usually wins in the NCAA which is very true. The issue is that many girls would rather go to UCONN, Tennessee, Duke, UNC, etc. and ride the bench rather than try and be a star at a lower level school. Those teams are extremely deep and bring in ALL the best talent.

There are still tons of competitive games in NCAA Womens ball. The majority are competative. I think you're selling women's sports short.

There are sports that many mens teams perennially dominate as well. College Hockey and Wrestling come to mind.

No. You think LSU recruits players who will get the most out their education? Or do you think they recruit players who are bigger/stronger/faster than everyone else? I think you live inside a high school counselor pamphlet or something.

Of course they do.

What the point I was trying to make was you feel that since men are bigger strong and faster than women, that they should get more opportunities than their comparatively advanced female counterparts.

If you lay all the men that play sports out on a timeline based on ability (not possible), the top X% will get to play in college on some level in some sport.


That same X% of women should get the chance to play college sports.

They are better than the average female by the same percentage that the men are.

They all get the same federal funding, none of these lower tier sports make money.

Not a single men's sport that is self sustaining, has been cut due to Title IX. The reason they get cut is because the demand isn't there.
