million dollar bet, which one will finish the year with the better record?

i follow both and like both teams, just curious if the stros can continue this pace.

the Rangers have 5 guys on the DL coming back soon

for me, id say Rangers by a game or two

Either I got major deja vu or this thread has been made before

I think the Astros are in better shape. If the Rangers had Darvish and Holland healthy I think they would be the team to beat but I don't have faith in the Rangers patchwork rotation and bullpen over the long haul

I think it's too early to say. Gotta see what happens with the trade market and the moves these two teams make

Rangers still lack an ace, but i think their lineup and rotation top to bottom is better than the Astros when fully healthy.

Astro's pen has been really good though.

Will be a tight race but the teams are moving in different directions at this point. I think TEX will pass them if they can stay healthy .

Derek Holland, Martin Perez, Matt Harrison

Rougned Odor should be making his way back up as well.

Rangers are in the same streak the Astros had at the beginning of the year.

Like the Astros, they'll come down to earth

I thought I saw today Holland was due back late July or early August. Both teams have pretty big question marks in the rotation. Hard to say with Houston with the changes they've made in the last week, it depends on how much Correa and Velasquez can contribute I think

I don't disagree. I think the division is wide open. Whoever makes a move to acquire the pitching will have the best chance of taking it all.

Holland and Perez probably come back by the All-Star break. Harrison may come back sooner but he isn't doing too well on his rehab assignment.

His callup was a mistake. He's striking out over 60% of his at-bats. I hope this won't mess up his long-term progress, but I also remember how Benji Gil was called up way too soon and washed out way too early.
