get to see the Yankees in Houston once a year.

i'd rather fly to new york to see the yankees. the stros just screwed the pooch with me. i've stuck with them for a long time and suffered thru some bad seasons, but i'm not going to watch them as american leaguers. they are going for the wrong reasons and they can kiss my arse. i'm now officially an atlanta braves fan.

The 93 race for the NL West between Atl and SF was a trillion times more interesting and exciting than any wild card series.

This works both ways. If there was no wild card, the last day of the regular season this year would have gone from being the most exciting day of regular season baseball ever to one of the most boring.

the Braves Giants race was intense for the better part of 3 months. 3 months of great baseball >>>>> 1 exciting day

Dunno about that. As long as we have Slive, Stern, Bettman, and Goofdell, there will be a good debate.

If he wants to go to 15 teams in each league, why not move the Nats? Washington has a very long tradition as an American League city. The Expos/Nats are the only NL franchise that has never been to the World Series, and the Nats don't have much of a tradition or identity. They also haven't been good enough to build meaningful rivalries.

Just don't jump on the bandwagon when we make a WS run in 5 years.

If they want to do this (and it is a dumb idea) Houston from the NL Central makes as much sense as anybody because it has 6 teams and they would be a natural rival of TX in the AL West which has 4.

Selig got the brewers moved to the NL when he owned them, now he wants another team to move to the AL. He wants the Cubs/Brewers rivalry.

No, no, no, NO!

As a lifetime Stros fan, I don't care who else they move, just as long as it's somebody else.

To hell with going to a series in Houston when the fn yanks and bo sox are there and listening to all the damn TV fans of those two teams.

I can't fricking stand this. Bud Seling sucks and can DIAF. Why are they messing with somewhat of a tradition in the NL Central when the Brewers don't even belong there in the first place? I grew up on games against the Cubs and Cardinals. I really hope this falls through.

Actually you have that backwards. Having a pitcher hit is puss. Pretty much an easy out 90% of the time.

Send either the Diamondbacks or Rockies to the AL, and put the Stros back in the West like they were for 40 years, more or less. I bet the Diamondbacks would love the AL.

I have been a lifelong Astros fan. I lived in Houston for 5 years while going to college. I don't care which division the Astros represent. I just wish someone could develop a plan to build the organization into a contender. I am tired of the losing. I guess we probably have another 3 more years of futility until we replenish the minor league system ?
