was Mike Hampton the best hitting pitcher of all time?

Of his time, yes. At least I can't think of anyone better.

Bruh, ever since we took the van and went play in the dome when I was a kid I have been hooked, Choo, Fun times. Especially when Engleburg sat on Tanner Boyles head and farted. If Kelley would not have held him back I think he would have killed him.

How many Astros fans on this board were Rangers fans from 2010-2016?

Don’t forget Cubs fans in New Orleans circa 1980 because of WGN on that new fangled cable tv.

What would possibly motivate a person to lie about something like this on a fricking anonymous message board?

What would motivate someone to complain about another person’s testimony on their fandom?

Well, how much time you got?

Maybe their team lost out early? Maybe their team always loses out ?

Maybe their CFB is losing and always loses out?

Maybe the team they would most want to see fail keeps winning, and has been for some time.

Then, there’s always the possibility that their life imitates all of this

TBS made lots of Braves fans as well. In Monroe it was either the Cubs or the Braves. I actually kinda liked the Cubs because of Harry Carey.

The only reason I became an Astros fan as a youth is because they were the first team I saw in person.

It might be a younger thing but in my north Louisiana circle it’s mostly split between rangers or Astros

The Astros probably made some gains over this run

No Astros thread, so I’ll mention here

Watching replay of Game 4 on MLBN and it’s top 3 w Tuve batting and his eventual walk. The second pitch that was obviously outside but called a strike is the only pitch NOT shown thus far

Odd. LOL

I moved back to Monroe after Hurricane Harvey wiped me out for about 2 years and we made a pretty good run in 2018 but fell short. I came back to Houston in late 2019 in time to see a couple of WS games against the Nats that we lost of. I flew my Astros flag proud in Funroe and literally every one looked at me like I had the plague. I think Monroe is mostly Rangers fans.

Became a fan around 1968. The Astros games were broadcasted in NOLA. Listened to Gene Elston & Lowell Passé. Gene Elston was my Vin Scully. Morgan, Wynn, Wilson, Dierker. Waited a long time for this run of winning baseball.

Going back to the Ceasar Cendeno, Jose Cruz, Roger Metzger, Don Wilson Days.

1980 with that awesome pitching staff.. Nolan Ryan, Vern Ruhl, Joe Niekro, JR Richards, Joaquín Andújar, only to lose to the Phillies in their first NLCS...

1986 Losing to the Mets in game six of the NLCS killed me.. Game 5 went 12 innings and game 6 went 16 with Mike Scott slated to pitch game 7... No one was touching Scott all year.

Holy shite, what a time to be alive and an Astros fan

I liked them growing up in Mobile (what choice did we have? Braves, Dodgers, Yankees, Red Sox were the only teams on my tv then) ... JR Richards and Nolan Ryan were my favorites.
