As bad as last year's NBA All-Star game was, this year's may be worse

The fact that West scored 196, they (either squad) may go out of their way to try to eclipse 200 as if it's some monumental feat. Guys running up and down the court jacking up uncontested 3s and cross court alley-oop dunks.

It is an exhibition. I usually like seeing the dunks

It's just an All Star game. I watch for the Dunks, Alleys and One on One matchups that break out. Don't even want them to go hard. Their obligation is to their team first

It's fun. Everyone has a green light. A lot of egos on the floor. Take it for what it is.

Gets surprisingly competitive 4q. All those assholes want mvp

Idk what to tell you. Don't watch I guess. I'm sure there's something else on a Sunday night

even at it's worst, it is FARRRR better than MLB All Star game, and light years ahead of the fricking Pro Bowl...

You're mad because a exhibition looks just like a exhibition?

He's probably mad because 20-30 years ago the east or west actually wanted to win and tried -- go watch

Actually the MLB all star game actually means something so they actually try in that game. Winner gets home field advantage in World Series.

Which is stupid. All Star are supposed to be meaningless

not any more...

here's the deal though. basketball played in an "all-star" mode is infinitely more watchable than any other sport in that mode.

football and hockey in "all-star" mode is kind of stupid since contact and hitting is a natural part of it

the nature of baseball prevents it from having an "all-star" mode, unless you count how pitchers only pitch maybe an inning each

IMO the MLS all-star game is the most watchable in sports, because against a major European club (albeit the game not mattering for them), you have a rooting interest one way or the other, and the game looks like a normal soccer game

I agree. Home field advantage in the World Series shouldn't be decided by a meaningless all star game.

If you aren't looking forward to seeing what happens when Westbrook and KD are on the court together then you don't like sports.

Baseball all star is most fun. But that's just me.

NBA all star game was GOAT in the 90s.

Seriously NBA on NBC was awesome

CBS had better coverage of the NBA

I guess I am not a Marv fan though. Matt G and Fratello were good on NBC.

The All Star game seemed to lose some competitive aspect it seemed to have.

Also prefer the CBS coverage, and do miss Fratello some.

Also feel Breen's play by play is terrible, the worst ever.

I miss the 1953 ASG, won by the West 79-75. The teams shot less than 37% combined, but it sure was enjoyable.
