Before I make my argument, let’s address the elephant in the room. I know that the last time New Orleans hosted the Super Dome the lights shut out in the middle of the game. I have not forgotten that. But here’s my counterpoint: That was hilarious and awesome. Who wants cold efficiency when you can have the delightful screwups of a place like New Orleans?
Sure the lights went off, but they got ’em back on! And we all got to hang out and watch more commercials and drink and eat. It was a fun talking point.
So the whole lights-shutting-off thing doesn’t matter.

New Orleans, Miami, Los Angeles

Every Super Bowl should be in NOLA and every Final Four in Indy. Not sure about CFP.

Agree on Miami, but not so sure on LA.

Miami

I do my fair share of NOLA bashing, but it is the absolute perfect city for hosting a football game

People who have been to enough big games - whether it's Miami, Dallas, Atlanta or Phoenix - will all say that New Orleans is the best spot. I've been to all of those for major bowls or Super Bowls and the logistics suck.

Miami is painful in my opinion. An hour drive to the stadium or worse with traffic.

This is why.

The reason NO stands out from the rest of the cities is the walkability. Walking everywhere and never having to sit in traffic is a huge plus.

Miami was a nightmare with the new stadium. Want to get back to the city and party after the Saints win? Enjoy your hour buzzkill of a car ride

and the fact that LA will have the nicest football stadium in about 3 years and located in the countries second largest market is another one for why it will get a bunch of hosts. theres a reason why LA, before it lost its teams, hosted the most super bowls

it should be nola every year but the whining from the rest of the country, who will never attend a superbowl anyway, would be outrageous

Isn't the 49ers new stadium an hour from San Fran?
It's not a huge deal. They can do all of the hype stuff in actual Miami.
