Arian Foster: Kneeling during anthem is comparable to kneeling while praying

Although many people disagreed with Foster's actions, the running back says that he didn't do anything disrespectful. After the Dolphins' 12-10 loss in Seattle, Foster said that kneeling during the national anthem is comparative to kneeling in church, and that people shouldn't be offended.
"I'll make one thing clear, it's not about the symbology that people are mad about," Foster said of kneeling, via the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. "It's about the message and it's about who's saying it because if it's about a knee that people are upset about, every Sunday, people of faith take a knee to give thanks to their Lord and Savior, whatever faith or whatever religion they are."

What would an atheist know about praying?

A smart and courageous man. He should be commemorated for his sacrifice.

to be fair, he needs to give that achilles a rest every chance he gets
Posted on 9/12/16 at 9:57 pm to Bench McElroy
so Foster says that people are not mad for the reason they say they are.
We should listen to Foster instead of the people getting mad

You're instructed to kneel in church.
You're instructed to stand for the anthem.
Idiot.

Idiot.

Surprised he's never torn anything while kneeling.

Foster thinks he's much smarter than he actually is

Hmmmm. Should we assume the same thing about Kaep, Marshall, and Rapinoe?

I still don't understand why anyone is upset by this.
Who wants to force respect?
You either want to respect the flag or you don't.
Why would anyone want someone who doesn't respect the flag to be standing next to and included with the group that does?
Isn't that disrespecting the people who actually want to show respect? It diminishes their act by sharing the respect next to a disgruntled person against their will.
And mandatory things aren't part of America anyway...unlike a lot of countries, military service isn't mandatory.
The only thing mandatory in America is Taxes and then death...and apparently watching the Super Bowl.
No one wants a country where patriotism isn't organic but organized and mandatory.
This story is a bigger non-story than Deflate-gate.

People are butthurt to simply be butthurt.
If you want to kneel to show respect but still protest apparently that fries some people's brains, and they get mad because the first thing dumb people do when they don't understand something is get mad.

About to do it again. Thanks.

I'm going to take off my back play hat and put on my serious hate for a second to explain why people are sick of this shite. At least why I am
\serioushat
The fricking irony of a 20 something year old multi millionaire for playing football..is a slap in the face to real African Americans who faced real oppression so that people like his bitch arse can play a game, suck dick and it and still be a multi millionaire.
Dude what fricking oppression has this dude faced in his life that could not be overcamw with hard work? I have a great grandmother that was gang raped, beat to the point where she could not talk or hear anymore and lost vision In one of her eyes, then eventually, because she had a family to feed have to go to work and look at the men who did it every day for the rest of her career because she couldn't press charges. And you know what she swallowed hwe pride, learned sign language and did what she had to do to get by in a world that's wasn't built for her in it and made the best of a shitty situation. Instead of bitching about how shitty her life now was she provided signing services to the church o grew up in for about half a century. Taught me and everyone else in my family sign language and now that she is gone someone I our family make sure that that the signing service is taken care of.
Every last one of them went to college for free. I went to a high school,(little rock central) where in 1957 they had to callin the national guard just so black people could go inside the school and not be killed
That is fricking oppression. Guys on the CBS news getting the shite beat out of them for trying to vote is oppression. The definition of oppression is prolonged cruel or unjust treatment. Even if you wanted to say that a few random black people being killed by cops is wrong,by definition it's not oppression because it's too sporadic. It's not prolonged and it doesn't happen often enough. I've been pulled over probably 6 times in my life. Not once have I been remotely in fear for anything other than getting a DUI or hoping te officer don't search my car and find the 8 ball of blow I had in the glove compartment lol. He didn't lol. shite I think cops are awesome lol. Be nice and respectful, find a way to ,talk about football they generally send you on your way.
The dudes at the Olympics were protesting about real shite. What the frick are you throwing up a black power sign for?
But the thing that irks me about he whole thing is that it leaves African Americans unaccountable. Other than he Tamar rice situation which was just 100% fricked up, I'm 100% sure I could have gotten out of every one of those situations unharmed by simply not being an idiot. No one goes on national TV and tells black people to stop doing stupid shite. No one will tell black women to stop having kids by ghetto dead beats and you might have a chance that your kid has somepne to show him how to be a man and he wont be z Pope ignorant frick like everyone you know. You want more more money don't ask for it demand it by learning how to do something other than rolling a blunt or fricking. Actually go to the job you have..on time lol...and do the job you have
All the while, Warwick Dunn is not saying a fricking word because he's too busy doing real shite making a real difference helping people who help themselves. Dunn has done 100x more to help black people than all these entitled arse holes combined.
And Colin frick you lol you ain't even black
20 year old millionaires need to shut the frick up about bring oppressed

Sure. That's why they always say " Please stand for the national anthem". Because it means that you can do the opposite and it will mean the same
