Are we watching something historic with the Warriors?

Sorry for the hyperbole but is this going to be a team that goes on a dynastic run for the next few years that basketball fans will tell their kids about?

Odds are NO.

They look strong. A lot can change, but they sure do look convincing.

odds are against them, but man are they fun to watch.
they were down 10 and then turned on the jets and immediately made a run to take the lead back.

The Spurs are doing something historic that fans will tell their kids about.

Cavs > Warriors
They are easily the best team right now, mostly because they've had the same team together for years now. They don't really even need a coach. By seasons end, could another team gel and be good enough to beat them? Yes.

I can see the Warriors winning something like 3 out of 5.
In that scenario, I think the Cavs and Rockets each pick up one of the other two.

"They like to swing for the fence here," said Durant, before gliding onto the Toyota Center hardwood Monday for a standard 29 points, four made 3s, four boards and two blocks during a 110-105 defeat that gave the Rockets their first win of the season.
"They're trying to get a lot of guys here surrounding James," Durant said. "They got some guys, they missed out on a few guys, but they still have a really, really good team. And they built it around James. Their front office and ownership, I'm sure, had him in mind whenever they made moves. They (turned) into a contender."
When Durant's "swing for the fence" line was repeated back to him, the 27-year-old awkwardly smiled, put his head down and paused.
yesssss...yessssss

It's Game 5 of a 82 game season.

No, it's not that impressive to me. Give it until about midway through the season

Be interesting to see how much of the team they can keep together moving forward. Right now, Curry's only making 12/year. That will jump to ~30/year when this contract is up next year. Harrison Barnes is gonna get PAID in the offseason. Somehow Stephen Curry is only getting better. I fully expect them to make a run at 72 this year. I wish we didn't open the season vs. them twice. I'd be able to fully appreciate how damn good Curry has been this year. Instead, I'm already tired of him torching us.
Thompson is a very good player, but I wouldn't label him a true second banana that is almost always required to go on runs at multiple titles in a row.

The Cavs took the "historic" Warriors to 6 games in the NBA finals last year without Kyrie Irving, Kevin Love or Anderson Varajeo. The Cavs added some good vets in Mo Williams and Richard Jefferson in the offseason for depth. The Cavs are legit! So quit with the It makes you look bad!

I don't think you'll find many people who think the Cavs are better than the Warriors outside of Cav/Lebron fans. Even at full strength the Warriors have something the Cavs don't and that's continuity. Look at the recent champs they're all teams who have been together for multiple seasons with little turnover. CLE won't have that level of comfort this season.

No kidding that's worse than Pels fans talking about missing Norris Cole and Pondexter.

Jefferson has shot 42% from 3 over the last 5 years. Lets not act like he cant be an asset on a championship team
