Are they truly a top 10 team who can contend for a pac 12 championship or do you guys think they will fall.

I think they are going to make the Civil War veeeeeeery interesting this year. I love that they're doing this with a bunch of their starters hurt, too. Not flashy... Just playing really good team football.

I don't think so. I think they will eventually finish in the middle of the pack in the Pac-12 north.

@ Washington
Arizona State
@ #20 Stanford
California
#3 Oregon
Nicholls State

I think they are undefeated until Stanford which they have a 50/50 shot of winning.

Civil War at home... could be going in undefeated.

just looking at the schedule now though and it is very possible they could be going undefeated or with 1 loss against Oregon in the Civil War.

Excuse me while I laugh at you

They have won 7 of 8 against udub dude (I'm guessing you don't know that?) and the huskies are falling hard.

I can see OSU being undefeated going into the Civil War game. Toughest game they have left before is Stanford.

Now do I think they can beat K state, OU, Bama, LSU, Florida? No

Notre Dame? without a doubt in my mind.

They remind me of the '05 UCLA team that started the season 8-0 and got slaughtered by their in-state rival USC in the last game of the season. I see a similar fate in store for them.

Is this a Stanford type guarantee?

I think the game will be a lot closer... Like 2009.

Don't care. Sark gets them up for home games against ranked teams. That's a late night ambush. Also it's not like OSU is exactly imposing their will on crappy Utah right now. The three teams UW has lost to are better than OSU and anybody they've played.

Mike Riley is another underrated coach that always seems to field a decent team with limited resources. Surprised he has stuck around Corvallis as long as he has.

He's like Patterson at TCU. He's found his school.

He's from Corvallis, went to Corvallis high, had his time as HC in the NFL. I think he likes being back home

Do they have to impose their will to say they'll win next week? Utah has a D that udub doesn't. I give Utah a better chance of winning. You should care about that stat. State of Oregon is 16-1 its last 17 games against the hated huskies. Bitter rivalry game, unfortunately udub doesn't have the horses. Anything can happen but not next week.

Beat me to it.

He has said he regretted ever leaving in the first place. When Erickson left he called them, not the other way around. He'll retire there.

Their D is salty this year. And that backup RB is grabbing his opportunity and running with it.

They aren't looking very real against Utah right now.
