No, it's actually a post from someone within the golf industry and is in Carlsbad frequently. Do you work in the industry?

Weave and BeaverPRO are probably the two most known/followed golf posters on this board... he know's what he's talking about.

And were you the one talking about how Titleist wouldn't be selling any clubs without the popularity of the balls? While it may help get their name around, have you ever even hit a set of Titleist's? They sell a lot because they are some of the best clubs on the market... and this is from someone who has played golf for the better part of 10 years and has tried out hundreds of different clubs.

And yes, I have AP2s right now and they are ballin

Nike clubs are fine, they just aren't popular with the older golfer generation.

That generation trusts established brands (Titleist, Callaway, etc.) and they make good clubs, so why would they want to invest in Nike?

Look at the Golf Digest Hot Lists from recent years - plenty of Nike clubs to be found.

So to directly answer your question, yes Nike clubs are good, but I personally don't care to buy them.

I don't work for TM, but I am around those who do constantly. I also have many sources around the industry who will back up my statements. I'm not trying to plug anybody, and I don't play TaylorMade clubs. I play Bang Center Cut irons, SMT Specter Driver, and Bang Bang-O-Matic fairways and hybrid, which I custom built.

To the OP--- I hit some Nike Vr pro combo irons at a demo last year and I was surprised at how much I liked them. They hit very well.

Understandable, even though that's not all I do.

I don't work for a specific company, but I've dealt with every one, in a detailed manner. I'll be the first to say I don't know everything, but you'll never see me in here blowing smoke up people's arse.

His post obviously is

Yeah, they're great clubs. I've always loved Titleist. I'm just telling it like it is from a purely market domination standpoint. I'm not trying to insult the quality of any pro-line OEM clubs.

Just because I haven't posted here much doesn't mean I don't know what I'm talking about.

You've played golf for the better part of 10 years? Wow, that's terrific. I've played golf since 1963.

TaylorMade has blown Nike and Callaway so far out of the water in the industry that it's just not funny.

I have some old king Cobra II's and I got a Burner 2.0 6 iron in the mail when they first came out(they were giving them away). The club head is so much lighter then mine but i can't hit it for shite.

I don't buy TMAG being ahead of any other company as far as innovation goes - maybe now that they've infused Adams into their technology they'll be more "innovative" and "cutting edge".

Not coming in here to start shite...

...I get to hit most clubs on the market. TM has some good and bad; Titleist has some good and bad; Nike has more bad than good, but where there are good, Nike is the best... Shoes!!!

And I know I am a Titleist homer, but I like other clubs over theirs and if the other brand offered me today to play their equipment, I wouldn't think twice (not talking about TM).

Nothing wrong with ANY of the clubs mentioned. What does the OP shoot?

I think most golf nerds are going to tell you Mizunos are better. But the ones I have picked up in stores are blades or are all NEARLY blades. Those bitches are tough to hit. I am capable of shooting an 85 (have done it twice) but I am "not worthy" of blades.

Above all, when talking about golf clubs in these price ranges it is all about feel. If swinging it in the store makes your weiner wiggle? You have your clubs. That is why you should never touch the $1600 Callaway or Taylor Made offerings.

Nike is a good brand, the important factor is that they fit your swing. If your playing MP60's I take it your a low handicap. Go to your nearest Edwin Watts and let them fit you for a set.

Nike's version of the Titleist MB's and the VR pro's are complete knockoff's.

Which Nike clubs are you talking about. GI irons/woods?
