ND could beat Oregon, they are that good on defense. Will they? I don't know, but would be a great game.

If Golson would be able to not completely suck it could be a close game simply bc they could shorten the game with long, grindy drives. Their running game is solid. Keeping the ball away from Kelly/Mariota is paramount.

We'd obviously sell out against the run and make Golson throw.

Took the quote from your response because I was on my phone and didn't feel like going back a few pages to find the original. I didn't say anything bad, just pointing out that the score was 50-3 at halftime so can't really take the final score of that game at face value.

No worries.

Almost every game of theirs can't be taken at face value so far, next week they play CU. another beatdown coming

Notre Dame has had better recruiting classes, they have a lot of talent this year...more so than Oregon

ND also has the best LB in college football

I think they very well could beat Oregon

Usually that is a formula for success.

That read-option hates DL that can get upfield in a hurry. Marcus Mariota would have to pass very effectively to beat that kind of team.

I think Cal might be a good test for UO on the road. There's never been an easy day for the Ducks team at Cal since Tedford's been there.

ND matches up well with USC's O but Oregon?

ND would get run out of Autzen, slumped over, all fat and tired and sick. Their only chance would be at ND - and only if they grew the grass Charlie Weiss style - to the tops of the ankles.

USC has a far more athletic D-line, LBs corps and even I don't think we can beat Oregon this year.

If SC can't, ND can't.

Especially since they seem to have a decent run game back and Maynard is actually looking serviceable.
