God yes...this town is FULL of them.

Do ANY of your ALUMS stay in Ohio after they graduate?

Can't really say that I blame them for wanting to get the hell outta that state.

After driving on ice and snow for approximately three days on a roadtrip this winter, frick that. I couldn't handle driving on that on a daily basis.

It's actually not bad, at least IMO. It's the people who freak out driving on it that insist they must only go 10 mph to avoid spinning out. That's the only part of the winter I find that sucks.

Driving on snow wasn't bad. It was when it switched to ice all of a sudden that was nerve racking. I'm good with heat and hurricanes. Y'all can keep the ice.

You fail to comprehend the amount of alums.

Yes but I have heard that the economy sucks in Ohio. I can see why so many people leave... When a lot of my high school graduated almost 70 % of my class moved out of state. Now that was 1978 but still.. Isn't Middletown a ghost town by now?????

The economy has been rebounding in Ohio more so than in the bordering states. Steel industry has rebounded there due to steel needed for frakking and there has been other economic recovery there. It's not great but it's a lot better than 5-6 years ago.

What is this tired old meme that Ohio is shitehole? I have been through OH many times and I have enjoyed my time there. Columbus is an awesome town. Zinzinnati Oktoberfest was a blast. Cedar Point is awesome. Cuyahoga Valley National Park is gorgeous in the fall. Cleveland leaves a lot to be desired, but that is my opinion. There are shiteholes in every single state and I have learned not to judge where people live any more. Are you happy where you live? Then who gives a shite what your state is called.

Not really,I get that OSU is a big state university with a huge alumni base but so is Michigan,Texas,Florida,Wisconson etc.

I run in to far more from OSU than these other colleges.I'm sure part of the reason is that their native state is in the crapper economically.

Phoenix is the same way. Ohio State fans are everywhere here. I have three different friends who moved here from Ohio when they were 8-10 years old, went to ASU, but are "die hard" Ohio State fans. Of course, I am an Oregon alum who lives here too, but I grew up here so this was always home.

A lot of people from the Midwest move here or are snowbirds so you can find a sports bar dedicated to almost every Big 10 team on football Saturdays.

Yup. Tons of Michigan/tOSU/Wisconsin/Mich St friends here in AZ. They love their home states during the spring, but not outside of it

Was always wishing so.

Oregon mainly recruits west coast.

Meyer will come into B.R. N.O. L.C. and take Saban's West Monroe guys.

I cannot stand the THE Ohio State language.

The fans think tOSU is God's gift. And cheery about it, like there is not any doubt.

I was pulling for the Ducks anyway, partly for this very reason.
