Dear Diary,

I had the Pats game on last night for about 1/2 a quarter and really could not get into it at all. However, on Monday night I stayed up late and watched the UT GT game to its conclusion. I have no allegiance to UT or GT but there I am on a work night watching as if LSU is playing.

Can't wait for the OSU/ OK; UGA/ND; AU/Clemson and of course LSU UTC!

This phenomena must just be a Southern thing. Because ratings wise the rest of the nation loves them some NFL.

ETA: 39 yrs old; married; one kid. if that makes a difference

pro sports >>>> college sports

college sports are too sloppy to enjoy IMO

i can watch some of the good teams play college football.

college basketball is awful. i might watch 2 games a year. Its just a bunch of kids bouncing the ball of their foot and turning it over 25 times a game.

college baseball is the absolute worst. nothing like non-athletic white people trying to play something because they werent good enough to play a real sport

Same here. I'm a Raiders fan in Alabama so we rarely get tv coverage. And they have sucked for 10+ years. In the meantime Alabama has had a resurgence and Troy had some great seasons. I follow SEC more than anything and watch every Troy game if I can.

Always been a college sports fan. While other kids had madden on sega I had Bill Walsh, College Football USA, NCAA Football and College Football National Championship. (I literally had all of these games at the same time at one point ) Also was rocking the hell out of Coach K. College sports are where it's at.

And we're only one game into the NFL season.

Nah. I like both.

But this is a college sports site, so you're going to get more responses in line with your way of thinking, OP.

It's kind of turning into sports fans' version of virtue signaling.

Pretty hilarious to me

I watch nfl, but to be honest its 90% for fantasy, 7% betting, and 3% interest in the actual game. Can miss every nfl game in a week and not even care. Its a dying product.

Cfb, im up early on saturdat watching college gameday, and watch cfb until the last pac game goes off that night. Will not miss a single weekend of cfb.

The pageantry, tailgating, etc... nod to College

The actual play on field and overall product... nod to the NFL

This is a college based website, filled with people saying how they hate the NFL on a daily basis. I can give many reasons why I think it's better, though I enjoy both. You don't like it, that's fine. But these threads are getting old.

I don't hate pro sports. I like the NBA. It and MLB are much better than their college counterparts. I just recognize, correctly and objectively, that college football is a far superior game/product/experience to the NFL

I like the passion and the heart that college players play with, and the game day atmosphere.

But there's something about how good the NFL players are. Methodical offensive NFL drives are a thing of beauty to watch. It's just different than the college level.

Weekends in the fall are probably the best time of the year. I look forward to both level's games.

No doubt about it. Can't wait until it gets cool outside. Nothing better than watching football on a Sunday with a cool breeze flowing through the house.
