What's the resale value for Tuesday tickets? Significantly more than face value?

I won 4 to the par 3/practice round contests. Likely will sell two of them

Its a good bit more. We went last year and when we got off the interstate and got into all the heavy traffic people were lined up and down the road selling and looking for tickets. One guy offered us $600 for 2 Monday tickets.

We got 300 for a Monday ticket 2 years ago from some dude standing at a redlight. Hadn't really thought about selling it till he asked us if we had an extra. 2 seconds later we got 300 clams. I believe we could have jewed him for another hundred or so if we weren't so hungover.

It was crazy. We probably could have sold them for $800. I wish I would have known it was like that, could have sold both our days for some serious cash. But was first time there, drove all the way, and wasn't going to miss our chance. Now if we ever get them again might be a different story

Sell them for a shite load of money in the morning and go bull shite for a few hours. Then hang out outside the exit after lunch and buy them for cheap from people leaving.

Wednesday tickets are a lot more difficult to buy outside because of the par 3 contest. I would only do this on Monday or Tuesday.

The secondary market is loaded with practice tickets. We go every other year wether we win the lottery or not. 12 of us got in last year Tuesday and Wednesday for less than 40 each. Just Go.

The fact that people are taking these tickets and looking to immediately flip them is just

Yes, I know I can get them on the secondary market. But that's beyond the point and also the reason why Augusta National opened up the lottery 3 years ago.

So, for those that have been to a practice round (Tuesday), what is the best strategy for viewing purposes? Is it worth it to pick a group and follow them all day, or pick a nice spot, relax, and watch everyone come through?

Like the others said...just walk around. Take a seat every once in while when you're tired and just take it all in.

The players don't always play full rounds while they're out there. They may just go play a couple holes, then head to the range. So, you'll probably miss quite a few guys if you just sit somewhere. They have signs up all over the course telling you who just teed off on 1 and 10, who's scheduled to tee off, and who's on the range.

It's easily the most well run event I've ever been to.

Luckily, I hit the "Patron" list lottery in 06 and have enjoyed 8 wonderful years of Thurs-Sundays. Got to take my 8 year old son to his first 2 rounds this year.

Wonder how long it will be before they open the waiting list up again? I am sure it will be opened and shut in a matter of weeks like the last time....maybe days.
