Anyone else became a bigger fan of LeBron AFTER "The Decision"?

Personally, I never had a problem with him leaving after. The only problem I may have had was the contrived and corny telecast with Jim Gray.

Ever since, there's been a pile-on vitriol for him. It's gotten ridiculous. Every small detail or action/behavioral trait he displays is nitpicked and magnified, ex: 90% of NBA players argue at refs, but it's perceived as "passion". Lebron apparently whines at refs...I guess he's not allowed to get upset under any circumstances.

Not to say that he is without flaws, but i believe people hate on him at this point because "it's the thing to do."

I didn't become less or more of a fan after the decision. I think it's selfish of most people to impose their desires about how he should have handled his career upon him.

He acts entitled to special treatment and constantly gets rewarded with it because of the amount of money he brings in for the powers that be. Simple as that. That's the reason why many sports fans (including myself) don't like him.

Let nothing surprise you about humanity.

The hate on Lebron is ridiculous. The man only receives the spotlight so intensely because he is so damn good at basketball. People will be left with a poorer NBA product once Lebron is no longer at his peak or no longer playing. For that reason, people should appreciate being able to see him play at such a high level for so many years.

I've made my hatred for Lebron pretty clear on here so I'm not going in to that again.

But the new thing I keep seeing that I hate is "Lebron was poor and had nothing growing up and people hate him. Steph was rich and had everything growing up and people like him"

When was I supposed to start hating rich people and loving poor people? I like or hate people based on their actions not how they grew up.

I don't hate on him because of his success. I dislike his attitude. He has a tendency to act like a bitch, simply put.

all I see is ppl saying Steph is whiter than James.

People legit believe that is why you haters hate.

I don't.

I think it is because of 2 things:

1- he is the best there is. People always hate the best.

2- internet era. Imagine how Jordan would be seen if every hater had an audience of millions. It would have been brutal.

This is easily the least popular/talked about/prevalent storyline in this series.

Just because a few random people talk about this on Twitter, didn't mean it's a "thing".

I never said otherwise.

Actually it does. If it wasn't a thing, it wouldn't exist.

LBJ argues way more than the average player.

I honestly was a LeBron hater until then. Then I realized that I really had no objective reason to dislike him, and the fact people turned on him overnight was ludicrous to me.

Wtf are you talking about? What special treatment does he get?

To answer the OP. I became a fan of him when he left CLE because the Cavs organization was shite at the time and holding him back.

Not bigger but I'd like to see him do a Decision after every contract is up.

Why not?

Why do people have to like him? I never liked Jordan. I knew he was the best player in the game. But he played against teams I liked and killed them. I didn't hate him, but I never fawned over him either. I just give him his just due.

Same with Lebron. He's the best player in the world. I don't celebrate or root for him and I recognize his flaws. He is too powerful and has tried to rig the league to his advantage constantly. Plus he isn't the player he should be. He is a natural PF, that could/should dominate the game from the inside out (I thought finally got that when he was with the Heat). Instead he tries to control the game from the perimeter. It just turns him into a jump shooter. He should be better, which makes all his failures seem appropriate..
