To be fair, you don't go to college to learn how to read.

Option B: Drafted in the first round. Win a national championship. Compete in the playoffs for another national championship.

He didn't win a NC any more than the waterboy did.

it's not even like he misled LSU really bad about his decision either

Then why did all of LSU's staff think he was coming to LSU until his announcement on ESPN.

Did he thank Coach Saban for his girlfriend's mercedes she received her senior year?

Sort of going to Vanderbilt, he likely wouldn't speak any better regardless which SEC school he chose to attend.

Like a spurned lover?

Maybe the most idiotic quote ever on any board here.

What LSU fan would follow Alabama players?

Are you mentally disabled?

I know some of the guys haven't lived up to expectations...but CB is a tough position to constantly pump out NFL studs. It'd be like knocking a really good college QB coach because all of his QBs aren't NFL starters. Not AS drastic, but the point still stands.

Either way, who would trade the ability to read for a ring?

Well to be fair, Jerrell Powe has been his tutor while at Alabama

No, I understand that. It explains why most of them are broke after the NFL. It's sad to sound that bad

No, not really. It has more to do with who they hire to manage their money. You don't think these guys balance their own checkbooks do you?

Eta: lots of people who read well go broke too. Being able to read notes does not equate to maintaining wealth.

I don't agree with that
quote:

As a true freshman at Alabama, Collins contributed as a backup. He started on the kickoff and punt coverage units on and saw reserve action at safety in all 14 season games, recording 17 tackles and blocking a punt. He tied for the team lead with 10 special teams tackles, including nine on kickoff coverage and one on punt coverage. As a junior he leads the team with 90 tackles and 3 interceptions. He also has 3.5 tackles for loss and 1 forced fumble.

Plus he never lost a game to LSU so there's that.

Exactly... Guy is a beast up front.. Incredible run stopper and tackler.. He struggles in deep coverage .

He made the right call for him but I hope for his sake that the NFL works out and he saves properly..
