i do enjoy his former coach perspective. last week he kept saying: right now the defense is thinking this. the offensive coaches are saying this. team A has to do X. "2 TD lead in the 4th with a young QB on the other side? 4 minutes offense time" . hes a natural talker/explainer/teacher. perhaps overly complimentary

I like him a lot. He knows what to talk about. Its not all complete sensationalism bullshite like when Herb and the other major espn guys talk.

He's good for the same reason Urban Meyer was good. He has as much credibility talking about college football as you could possibly have.

Had the game on as background noise earlier while finishing up on some work and had to mute it. While certainly a treasure trove of information, his voice is terrible and he talks too much for my taste.
