Any surprise teams for the upcoming NCAA season?

For example, last season:

-Western Michigan. Come on.
-Colorado, after winning 4 games, won the Pac 12 South and finished in the Top 15.
-Washington made the playoffs (won 7 games the year before).
-Penn State came out of nowhere and made the Rose Bowl.

Do you have any potential surprise teams for the upcoming year? They can be in a P5 conference or a directional school. Doesn't matter.

I think CU builds on their good season last year, although they lost some talent on both sides of the ball. They have a good RB in Lindsey and Montez will be a solid QB

OKST won't have the defense

Offensively they will be fine but they lost too much on defense

Won't Oklahoma State be ranked inside the Top 20 to start the year?

Any time you have the DL that NC St will have this year, you're always going to be in games.

Unfortunately they play in what will be the toughest division in CFB this year so they're unlikely to have the record to prove it, but they'll be a damn good team.

Kirk Ferentz will pull another season out of his arse at Iowa. The formula is there. Good OL with RBs. First year QB that hasn't been neutered yet. Good D with great LB group. Most importantly, underrated. Iowa picked 5th in BIG behind Wisco in the West. Vegas has o/u for wins at 6.5. This is one of those years where KF over performs and goes 10-2 or 11-1.

NC State returns most of their team.

I think they'll finally upset FSU and/or Clemson this year and possibly get to 10 wins.

North Carolina with Brandon Harris at QB.

TD heads will explode. Trolling will be epic.

They play in the Big 12 so it doesn't really matter if their defense is just average

Northwestern...they have enough experience and athleticism to give anyone fits, as the Buckeyes found out last year.

If (big if) they survive the late September game at Wisconsin, they'll have a manageable path to Indianapolis, where anything could happen.
