I know yall lost two really good WRs to the NFL off your team from last season and also lost your QB.

What type of offense/defense do you run, and who are some players to look out for this weekend when my Mississippi State Bulldogs come to Ruston? Last time we went there it led to the end of the line for Sylvester Croom's era at State, I hope we come ready to play and don't repeat what happened 10 years ago.

J'Mar Smith is Tech's only hope to outscore State. He's a very fast athletic QB. Defense lost alot last year as well but they do have 1 stud DE (Ferguson) should be a 2nd round pick.

Too early to tell what all this Tech team has but they have hung with the big boys the past few years. Although last year they had much more offensive talent.

None really.

Tech is still pretty good, but imo there's no way they won't be a little down from last year. At a school of their size there's no way to replace the talent they lost. 2 wrs to the NFL and a senior quarterback. The new qb, Smith, has a little experience and was a pretty big recruit, but the senior Higgins last year had a great season.

I see MSU winning, but the score will probably be pretty close just because the style of the game. MSU will be ahead, but never enough to really feel comfortable that the game is in hand because of Tech's ability to score quickly.

My buddy said the final score vs Northwestern State was misleading and it was tied at 21 going into the 4th quarter before La Tech turned on their offense and forced a couple NW State Turnovers.

I'm familiar with J-Mar Smith from him playing QB at Meridian HS, State ultimately chose Nick Fitzgerald over him recruiting wise.

We're terrible and y'all will dominate. I'm not understanding the -7 spread.

It was 24-10 at half, 31-24 going into the 4th. NWST scored twice really quickly on short field fumbles from our kick returner and offense at the beginning of the half, after they tied it Tech just kicked in and went away with it. 3rd and 4th quarter offense felt pretty different from the first half.

I'm really not sure what to think.
