This could go down as the worst personnel decision in NBA history. And I'm not kidding.

but he'll likely end the year averaging 20/7/2

Through 39 games, he's currently averaging 15.2/4.3/1.8 so to get 20/7/2, he'll have to average 24.2/7.4/2.2 for the rest of the season. So it is highly unlikely that he will have a rookie season that will go down as an all time great, although he will more than likely be ROY.

He's definitely light years ahead of where Love was his rookie year, and Wiggins only had 1 year of college ball

Love averaged 11.1/9.1/1 during his rookie season on a better Minnesota team (took about 4.5 fewer shots per game than Wiggins). Looking at efficiency metrics, Love's PER was 18.3 compared to Wiggins's 13.0. Love had a better offensive rating (112 to 100), defensive rating (109 to 114), and considerably higher wins share per 48 minutes (.124 to .021). Granted there are differences in talent levels on the two teams, but Wiggins's rookie year is not substantially better than Love's in any way.

You left out that one guy had 1 year of college ball.

In 3 years the comparisons won't even be close.

the Cavs didn't screw up. you think they were gonna win the title with a rook next to LeBron?

They aren't going to sniff a title without him this year either.

Tbf Mirotic has been pretty damn good too. Only real challenger to Wiggins for ROY.

You think his CEILING is Paul George? Wiggins is gonna be better than Paul George in like a year.

At this point I'd say his floor is Paul George

Wiggins is only 19 still.

Kevin Love played his whole rookie season at age 20.

Since Christmas he is averaging

21pts
5rebs
2.7 ast
50% FG
45% 3pt

Both players only played one year in college. Although, Love's birthday is about 6 months earlier than Wiggins's (Early September for Love; late February for Wiggins).

O he has been playing very well; however, they are 2-10. I'm just saying that it's too early for those saying he will be one of the greats of all time.

Meh. I don't think using Paul George as his ceiling or floor is very reasonable. I would say as of right now, Paul George would be a good baseline. It's 50/50 whether he will be better or worse.

They are definitely not at full strength; however, while that definitely hurts them in terms of their wins and losses, I think they it may have benefited Wiggins individual stats a bit.

I'd agree if he was doing what he is doing inefficiently, like Kobe's early season numbers.

They should probably try to get what they can for him now. Hell, maybe trade him to Philly for Noel or Embiid and a draft pick to boot.
