Isn't his defensive +/- greatly skewed because of his rebounding

It probably is, but I'm just saying that Wiggins has a long ways to go (that's a given) and may be benefiting from the same factors (poor team, little pressure) that Love benefited from while in Minnesota. Furthermore, Bennet is really a nonfactor in that trade, for those saying he provides "quality" minutes.

OKC trades future MVP candidate James Harden for Jeremy Lamb, 1 year of Kevin Martin, and a draft pick which is Steven Adams.

Awful comparison, he would have walked after the year and they would have gotten nothing.

Cleveland is just snakebitten. If they'd have kept Wiggins he'd probably have blown out his knee in December, Love would be a legit MVP candidate wherever he wound up, and everybody would be saying the same things as they are now.

What does that even mean? It's +/-. It just tracks how many points your team scores vs the other team.

I understand this.

I thought what he was using was some other kind of metric.

Bingo.

Really all other personnel decisions will be trumped by this one if Love leaves.

At least Detroit got to keep Darko.

I think he was just speaking on the fact they felt they HAD to trade him.

They got essentially nothing for Harden in the trade.

You guys don't remember the situation. He was negotiating his extension with okc and they low balled him $60m vs the $80 Hou offered after the trade. They (okc) gave him an hour to accept their offer.

He could very well go down as one of the top 15 players, but there is no objective evidence to support this as a likely possiblity at this time.

It's an opinion based off of his skill set and athletic ability.

I am confident he will be a great, great player.

Obviously, there are things that could sidetrack his career even if he ends up being great, such as injury.

Well, Steven Adams is developing very nicely in year two. We'll see how he continues in a few years, but his ceiling in very high and many think he'll turn into a premier defensive stopper.

Everybody is so sold on Wiggins becoming this bonafide superstar. I am not. I think he will become a really good player. Top 15 in NBA easily. Top 15 of all time? I don't see it at all

That being said, I think ?the love acquisition gives them a chance to be better and compete for a championship now. As bad as Love has played this year, he is still a much better player than Wiggins and Bennett combined at this point.

meh I doubt he goes down as a top 50 player. He will be good though but I think his ceiling is more Paul George. Not Kobe.

They weren't going to offer max contract to a guy coming off the bench. He made it clear he was going to walk after the year.

Fair enough. At one point he was next Lebron James prior to college based on his "ability." Now even after a year of college (he is pretty young though), he's not having a can't miss rookie season, neither by individual statistics nor team success (40 wins last year; to one of the worst teams in league), albeit many of be team variables are out of his control.

He's more athletic than Paul George. That right there makes his ceiling higher.
