they need to be shut down with quickness

What they need is a training montage with a new head coach who is a recovering alcoholic or something similar. Then, they they learn important life lessons and go undefeated.

I feel bad for the kids who just dreamed to play college ball but clearly aren't cut out for it

Media will get ahold of this and NCAA will take action and these kids will be heartbroken when everyone calls the frauds and jokes

Shady for sure. But the kids themselves don't deserve the Shame that will befall them

These schools are non accredited and not a member of the NCAA or NAIA. They use religion as a basis of their school because it allows them to operate without accreditation. It's total bullshite.

Along those same lines, this reminds me of a story

One of my students entered his first ever grappling tourney recently, and won his first match then lost bad his second

I was trying to be upbeat and make him feel better when some crazy lady says "that's alright hunny my husband is the number 1 ranked fighter in the state and he just lost his match"

I asked who her hubby was, never heard of him, and with a little research I discovered her hubby is an amateur fighter with a record of 1-7. I watched his later matches and the guy was clueless

But it was more important for that woman to think highly of her husband, and their children to believe their dad was a badass than it was to be a smug prick and call her out on her comments, so I let it go

Well if you go back to my previous post about feeling bad for the kids when the hammer comes down and they get told they aren't a real team

Nothing, other than the fact that these are two awful football equivalents of diploma mills and that is a very interesting story. People want to know how they came about and why.

Weird story, I'm actually visiting my folks who live just outside of West Memphis, one of the "campuses" they list, and no one has ever heard of them. Which is particularly odd since my father taught at West Memphis High School for a good long time.

Does the team have insurance? What if one of them gets hurt who pays for it?

I was wondering the same thing. If you play against a school like this with no admission standards, who is liable if a serious injury occurs?

Very sketchy and I don't think any decent college program would schedule a team like this.

Just hang around any homeless shelter in Charlotte and you will probably get them for free soon.

another thing is, if an FCS or D2 is playing such a team, their insurance shouldn't cover if they get hurt...

I love on their website that they had a six week youth summer camp that said "for boys and girls between 5-14 (excluding high school graduates)".

A 14-year-old high school graduate?

Ahh, but that's the magic of it. If you never come close to making a block or a tackle, you are highly unlikely to ever get hurt.

Tremendous.

This has everything I ever wanted in a SECR flame. Shady Memphis athletics, the Wasteland of Arkansas (W.Memphis is the anus of Arkansas), pseudo-Christian "christ-centered" bullshite, blacks taking advantage of government programs and hustling people in comically bad methods, OP by Beaver, oblivious sports writers being schooled by regular fans, and more pulpit pimping using God as a cover.
